I work a flexible job from home and have a consistent schedule, with my workday not starting until the evening. This allows me to dedicate my mornings and afternoons to pet care and be fully available until 3:00 p.m. on most Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’m available until noon on Saturdays specifically and do not offer pet care at this time on Thursdays or Sundays.

I love learning about each pet before our first visit! Please let me know about their personality, daily routine, favorite toys or activities, feeding schedule or rules (such as separating pets, etc), any medications or medical conditions, allergies, fears or anxieties, and how they interact with new people or other animals. I also appreciate knowing any house rules, potty routine, leash habits, and emergency contact or veterinarian information. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide a safe, comfortable, and personalized experience for your pet.
A typical day
I tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and energy level! We can play fetch, tug-of-war, chase favorite toys, work on simple tricks for treats (if approved), or enjoy interactive enrichment games. For cats, I love using wand toys, and puzzle feeders to keep them engaged. If your pet prefers a slower pace, I’m happy to spend quality time cuddling, brushing, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make every visit fun, enriching, and stress-free while following your pet’s normal routine.

I’ve cared for pets my entire life, including my own two dogs for the past six years. I have experience pet sitting both small and large dogs, including senior dogs and those requiring special care. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and making sure every pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

I can’t say enough good things about Kayla and the support she gave our family during an incredibly difficult time. I had originally arranged for a teenager (family friend) to watch my elderly dog while I was out of town, but when our dogs health suddenly declined, I immediately called Kayla and asked her to step in. She didn’t hesitate, she followed my instructions and got him to a pet ER right away. Kayla stayed with our dog at the emergency clinic through his final moments and made sure we were able to say goodbye. She kept us updated the entire time, which meant so much during such a heartbreaking situation. She also went above and beyond by taking photos, videos, and paw print keepsakes so we would have lasting memories of our family pet. We are so grateful to have had someone so compassionate and trustworthy there for our family when we needed it most.
