Kayla can care for
Availability
As a recent graduate, I am taking time off from school and full-time work, so my schedule is very open and flexible (especially afternoons). I am usually available for dog walking duties anytime from 7:30 AM-10 AM or in the evenings, and I can make stops to take care of dogs/cats anytime during the day. If house-sitting is required, details will need to be arranged prior to the stay.

Safety, trust & environment
While I am newer to Rover, I have tons of pet care experience and believe each pet (even the troublemaker) deserves top-tier care and companionship while their humans aren’t home. Aside from watching others’ animals, I own a few myself. I take the dogs on daily walks, feed them twice daily, and clean the cat litter box daily. Overall, I have experience walking/handling small and large—sometimes rowdy—dogs, administering oral medication, cleaning out litter boxes, playing with pets, and daily feeds. Depending on the job and the dog/cat I am responsible for, I am willing to care for your animal in a way that best fits their needs as you see fit.
Information Kayla K. would like to know about your pet
Prior to watching or walking your dog/cat, I would like to know a bit about their personality/behavior and any special requirements. When walking, I need to know how your dog fares around others. This ensures I am prepared for how they might act if we encounter another person or dog along the way.
A typical day
My dogs and I are very active. It wouldn’t be a normal day without our 3.5mi walk, which they always look forward to each morning. Occasionally, we will go to the park for some extra adventure time or throw the ball around the yard for a game of fetch.

Pet care experience
I grew up on a small town farm and was raised around horses, dogs, cats, chickens, etc. until I graduated high school. I was responsible for caring for the farm animals, so I have lots of experience with different animals and pets, including cats and dogs (of all sizes and ages). I recently graduated with a master degree in biomedical science and am looking for some extra work while I figure out what I’d like to do. I currently have four pets that I absolutely adore— a Labradoodle, German Shepherd, dachshund, and a fat, orange cat! Suffice it to say they are spoiled beyond belief.

Excellent job watching our dogs. Was very good with communication, and was punctual to the time frames agreed upon. Will definitely have her watch them again!

We highly recommend Kayla! This was our first time using Rover. I searched for a sitter and decided on contacting Kayla. She came over a couple times before our trip to meet our 3 dogs and go over their care instructions. We have a difficult situation with our neighbor dogs which leads to a strategy letting our dogs out when they are. Kayla was very willing to keep that going to keep our dogs safe. Also we had a roof being installed .. she went out before letting dogs out to make sure there were no nails ect .. she even asked the roofers to pause one time for the dogs could out. She kept us updated with her reports and pictures. She did an amazing job letting us enjoy our trip … not worrying about our pets. As long as Kayla continues this service .. she is our go-to sitter!

Kayla did an amazing job caring for my little pup while I was away for the weekend! I appreciated all of the updates and photos she sent me while I was away from him for the first time ever, it meant a lot❣️

Kayla was super thorough and attentive on all of her visits. We have a big, highly energetic boy - and she was great about balancing physical activity and cuddle time. Her visit break downs and photos gave me total peace of mind on how Mace was doing!
