Pet care experience
I've owned my two mutts (40 & 60 lb) for 3-4 years each and have experience with multiple types of walks and tools, so let me know if you have any preferences or no-no's and I'm happy to accommodate. My primary job is working at a vet. I also have professional dog training experience with everything from overly excited pups to nervous pups who need a little extra patience. When I have the opportunity, I attend dog training seminars, pursue training certifications, and shadow multiple dog trainers across the state. Casual sniffing? Structured heel? No jumping allowed? Want to proof some skills? Need a quick play session? Avoid that house down the road? I've got you covered! I've used a variety of tools with my own personal dogs, and am comfortable not using certain tools as well. A harness? Flat collar? Prong or slip? Have special treats? Have force free ideals? Not a problem! One of my dogs is reactive, so I understand the struggle and extra care required to navigate the world. I'm comfortable walking her with only a regular flat collar and leash, and advocating for her space. I'm happy to do the same for your pup! I have a solid understanding of dog body language, and will happily cross the street, change direction, or body block to avoid encounters with other dogs or greetings from other humans. I've purchased and thoroughly enjoyed videos on how to play with dogs. I understand how important this can be for our pups. If your pup would prefer a quick potty break and some brain games, we can go that route as well. I understand how much peace of mind a photo can provide, and am happy to do so! For those with cats, I owned cats from childhood through my mid 20s. I'm happy to play with them, clean their litter box, feed them, or anything else they could need. I have a few cats that I regularly watch and we have a blast playing and watching critters together. * Will provide services for those further away (more than 15min drive) at an additional rate.
Reviews
Kayla was great with our puppies and kept us updated all of the time. Great fenced yard and one on one time . We look forward bringing them to visit Kayla again. ?
Kayla did a great job - even picked up the dog poop!! Very satisfied!
Reliable and loved the photos - thank you!
Kayla is fantastic! My dogs absolutely loved her. Her notes were great and she even helped with my garbage when i was gone.

Dogs are crated in my home unless I'm actively watching them, as a result, your dog must be crate trained so they are comfortable. Your dog will not interact with my dogs. Dogs will be separated via an exercise pen and/or crates.
Information Kayla H. would like to know about your pet
• Any special needs or quirks, • diet restrictions and whether or not you are okay with treats on walks, • behavioral challenges (e.g.: reactivity, resource guarding, no kids, etc), • "do not touch" zones (e.g.: my boy didn't want his paws touched when he had a paw infection), • or training goals to keep in mind • for boarding: are they crate trained and capable of being quiet in the crate when I'm at work or walking my personal dogs? All breeds are fine with me! I have a little pitmix and bullies have a special place in my heart.
A typical day
If your dog is comfortable, then we'll play fetch, tug, or some other game. They'll also receive two walks. They can eat out of a bowl, or we can do some training or games with it. Happy to provide affection and cuddles. Couch privileges are up to you.
