Availability
I am a PhD student at UT Austin and have a flexible schedule. Since my schedule is flexible, I have mornings available for dog walking and also daytime availability. I really enjoy taking walks as a break from schoolwork and love dogs so I figured why not combine those two.

About Kayla C.

Safety, trust & environment
I am a very open and honest person. When I was boarding dogs a few years ago I did everything I could to make the dog feel at home and also get outside to explore the neighborhood. For dog walking, I match the needs of the dog. If your dog wants a slower more relaxed walk or a longer faster walk, I can match their needs.

Information Kayla C. would like to know about your pet
Does the pet have any aggressive or fearful behaviors? Are their particular people, animals, places, or behaviors that trigger these behaviors? Is the pet a puller on the lead when going for walks? Is the pet food-driven, toy-driven, or equally both? If the pet needs medication, will they take it willingly or only when hidden in food/treats?
A typical day
I love playing fetch and taking dogs on long walks. I love being outside and would love to take your dog to the local parks or hiking trails.

Pet care experience
Look no further! Does your dog like daily adventures? Does your dog like to just hangout and relax? Either way, I am here to help your dog get some exercise during the day. I am a PhD student at UT Austin so have a flexible schedule. I have extensive experience walking, running, and lounging with dogs. I'm open to walking dogs of all breeds and sizes. I grew up with dogs in my home and have experience taking care of other people's pets. I am a pet lover through and through. Feel free to ask me any questions. I hope to meet you and your pup soon!
Reviews

Kayla was a great sitter for Pepper. She communicated with us well, was prompt with responses, and sent us plenty of pictures. She seemed to exercise our pup even more than we usually do. We would recommend leaving your dog in her care.

Kayla was truly wonderful! Our girl can get somewhat stressed when left with strangers but Kayla made sure 'Thena was comfortable by making sure she had her bed, and accommodated her raised feeding bowl etc. Kayla was in contact with updates and pix everyday! We were able to have a relaxing trip because we knew Kayla was taking great care of our 'Thena.

Kayla is friendly, responds quickly, and sent a lot of pictures! Tucker clearly was very well taken care of and had a great time.
Kayla did an exceptional job taking care of my 2.5 yr old energetic lab. From communicating before the booking, to a thorough meet & greet and then Kal’s actual stay with Kayla, I felt I was dealing with a thoughtful, reliable and responsible care-taker. Kayla sent photos and videos of their time together, whether cuddling on the couch, hiking or playing fetch with Kal at the park. I will be leaving Kal in her care again and highly recommend anyone considering doing the same with their pup!
