About Our Home & Care Style- Pet sitting fits naturally into our daily routine. I’m home the majority of the time to provide companionship, supervision, and care. On occasion, I may step out briefly for errands, school drop-offs/pickups, or kids’ activities—because even the most loved pets don’t mind a short break from constant attention. From belly rubs and playtime to quiet couch cuddles, your pet will be cared for during both the big moments and the calm ones. You can feel confident knowing your furry family member is safe, loved, and well looked after at all times. Experience You Can Trust- New to Rover, but not new to boarding. We have over 20 years of private boarding experience and 400+ repeat clients. Our home is best described as a second home—or a fun, safe “summer camp”—where pets are treated like family and absolutely spoiled. Meet & Greets / Our Family Team- Because we have a busy household with children and schedules that can change, you may meet my husband for drop-offs, pick-ups, and/or meet & greets. Sometimes you may meet both of us, and sometimes only one—depending on availability. This is similar to how multiple caregivers may appear on your own Rover profile. We fully understand the “team” aspect of pet care, and what matters most is that your pet receives consistent, loving care. If you request a meet & greet, it will typically be done with my husband ( of course if I'm home I will be there too ) but he's the one who has extensive experience with dogs of many breeds and temperaments. He is K9 training certified and has additional puppy-related certifications. I am always happy to video chat or speak by phone through the Rover app as well. After the initial meet and greet has taken place we will hold a spot open til next day by 8am and then we will respectfully archive the booking. If meeting my husband instead of me is a concern for you, I completely respect that. In that case, I kindly ask that you do not confirm a booking. We want everyone—pets and owners alike—to feel fully comfortable and confident. Booking Policies (Please Read Carefully)- No holding spots. All bookings are first come, first confirmed through Rover. Scheduling a meet & greet does not reserve your spot. Minimum stay: 2 nights Exceptions may be made for emergencies Drop-off times: After 9:30 AM Pick-up cutoff: No later than 7:00 PM Please be punctual. If you’re running late, just reach out—timing adjustments must be approved in advance. Drop-Offs & Pick-Ups- All drop-offs, pick-ups, and meet & greets take place outside the front door/front yard area of our home. Drop offs and Pick ups are done quickly and timely meaning just a few minutes. Think of this as a reception-style transition, similar to boarding facilities. Please stay in this "reception area" respectfully. This helps reduce anxiety and overstimulation for pets and allows for a smooth, safe handoff. Overnight bags/food/beds etc we will simply place outside front door and will grab them after safety bringing in the pups for smooth transition and prevent any run aways. Parking for Drop offs/Pickups and or Meet and Greets- For everyone’s safety and to help protect our property, we kindly ask that you park on the street rather than in our driveway. We do not have much through traffic, so street parking is safe. Please walk your dog on the grass area and away from vehicles. This helps prevent any accidental damage, as we’ve previously experienced situations where dogs have jumped on cars and caused scratches. We truly appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Our goal is to create a safe, smooth experience for both you and your pet! Home Environment- Pets are rarely ever alone during their stay Your pet will likely have friendly dog companions Pets are allowed on furniture They may sleep with us, with the kids, or wherever they feel most comfortable Updates & Communication- I typically send daily photos and/or videos, and updates between 1:00–5:00 PM, with occasional extras. This schedule helps keep you informed without interrupting your time away. Communication is prompt and consistent, especially when it comes to your pet’s well-being. Barking Policy (Please Be Honest)- With the utmost respect: If your dog is a constant barker or whines for most of the day or night, please do not book with us unless discussed in advance. This does not apply to normal behaviors like alert barking or playful vocalization. However, undisclosed excessive barking affects our family, our children, and the other pets in our care. If this behavior is not disclosed and becomes an issue, we will contact you and Rover to arrange alternative care at our discretion. Thank you for understanding and respecting our home environment. Illness and Diarrhea Policy- Your dog’s health—and the safety of every dog in our home—is extremely important to us. We treat every pup like family, and keeping everyone safe is a top priority. Before Drop-Off: Dogs must arrive healthy and symptom-free Please hold off on bookings if your dog has: Diarrhea or vomiting, Coughing/sneezing, Lethargy or any signs of illness During Their Stay: If symptoms develop, we will: Separate your dog for safety Contact you right away Monitor them closely Early Pick-Up May Be Required: If symptoms persist, worsen, or seem contagious If your pup needs care beyond what we can provide at home Veterinary Care: We will seek vet care if needed Any veterinary costs are the owner’s responsibility Diarrhea Note: Mild tummy upset can happen with new environments However, frequent or uncontrollable diarrhea will be treated as a health concern Please Let Us Know Ahead of Time: Sensitive stomachs Recent illness, food changes, or medications Outdoor Play & Weather- Pets enjoy outdoor playtime rain or shine in our fenced backyard. During hot weather: short, supervised outings Rainy days: monitored playtime (yes, muddy fun happens!) Pets are dried off and bathed as needed—sometimes multiple times during rainy day stretches. Baths are NOT guaranteed but majority of time we will bathe them as a courtesy. Photos may reflect their adventures (white dogs may temporarily appear brown 😄). We never discourage fun, and we handle the cleanup happily. What to Bring- Please pack the following: Your pet’s regular food (no changes to brand or treats) Bed, blanket, or clothing item with your scent Food and water bowls Kennel only if required (we do not kennel unless requested) Any medications with instructions Equipment Requirements- For your pet’s safety, please ensure all equipment is in proper working condition before arrival: Leashes, collars, and ID tags must be secure and fully functional Clips and hooks (leash-to-collar connections) should be sturdy and intact Prong collars (if used) must be properly fitted and in good condition Retractable leashes must be appropriate for your dog’s weight rating If your dog is known to be a runner or escape artist, please ensure they arrive with a secure, properly fitted harness and leash. While we take every precaution during their stay, we cannot be held responsible for dogs that slip out of improperly fitted or unsecured equipment during drop-off or pick-up. This is not a complete list, but serves as a general guideline to ensure your pet’s safety and comfort during their stay. Miscellaneous- We use filtered water for all dogs. We do not treat our yard with any pesticides. We do not treat inside or outside for insects obviously due to dogs safety. Final Notes- While this is a business for us, it’s truly something our family enjoys. It gives us and our kids the chance to spend time caring for and spoiling your pets, since we don’t currently have one of our own. Everything we earn through Rover goes directly into our children’s college funds. So when you book with us, you’re not only ensuring your pets are loved and well cared for—you’re also contributing to something meaningful for our kid's future. :) ALL BOOKINGS are first come, first served CONFIRMING A BOOKING means you have READ and ACCEPTED this ENTIRE profile/BIO We truly appreciate your trust and look forward to meeting you and your fur baby For a little fun, feel free to scroll to the end of my photos for some smiles 😊

A Few Questions About Your Pup 🐾 To make sure we give your furry friend the best care possible, we’d love to know: How does your dog get along with other dogs? How do they feel around kids? Any allergies or sensitivities we should know about? (Hives, scratching, obsessive paw or nose licking, heat rashes ) these are just a few of the most common but we know they're not limited to just these. Are there any things that stress them out or trigger anxiety? Obsessive barking/whining? Your answers help us make their stay fun, safe, and super comfy—just like home!

A Typical Day With Us Our day usually begins around 5:30 AM. The morning starts with supervised outdoor time, giving the pups a chance to stretch, play, and take care of their morning routine—often while I enjoy my first cup of coffee before the kids are up. After some fresh air, breakfast is served. Some pets may eat right away, while others prefer to graze. If a pet doesn’t eat much in the morning, we always take note and ensure they eat later in the day. Throughout the day, pets are free to relax indoors, enjoy the backyard, or move comfortably between the two, depending on what makes them feel most at home. Dinner is served between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM, unless otherwise specified. After dinner, we transition into a calmer evening routine with additional outdoor time and plenty of relaxation. I tend to start my days early, while my husband is more of a night owl and is usually awake until midnight (or later). Before bedtime, he makes sure each pup gets a final potty break, allowing everyone to settle in comfortably for a restful night’s sleep.

It’s great to be able to go out of town knowing that our pups are being well taken care of with Kayla. We love getting the photo updates!

Couldn’t ask for a better set-up for our pup. She leaves happy & tired from having so much fun! We appreciate good communication as well

Kayla & her family did a fantastic job with my Husky Molly. I received pictures and updates every day letting us know how she was doing. 5 outta 5 would recommend.

As always, Kayla and her family did a wonderful job! Would highly recommend!!
