Pet care experience

Loving and knowledgeable pet care ❤

Hi! We are Kayla and Austin! My partner and I have Been around many animals especially dogs, our entire life. I (Kayla) Have my grooming license and have dog sit, helped with rescues and administration of medications, physical therapy ect. Offer enrichment and lots of space to run and play! **FYI** if anyone is uncomfortable boarding at my home because we have dogs, we are more than happy, and capable of keeping your pet completely separate while still giving them a positive experience with plenty of space and love. Update 08/13/25 Just to be EXTRA cautious, unless you request otherwise, we will be keeping our dogs separate at all times.

My sheepdog was well taken care of and communication was great. I would recommend this home for other animals.

This was Ronan's first sleep over. Kayla and Austen were great (again!) It was also Riley's first visit to Kayla's place. Both humans were very attentive to the dogos and did a great job introducing our boys to her fur babies and everyone was happy and healthy all weekend long!

Doggy Day Care • Aug 06, 2025

Kayla is a positive, upbeat person who loves her puppies. Ronan is 9 weeks old, working on his house training and learning to be a dog. She accepted and worked with his "puppy shenanigans " (her words!) With a smile and grace. She was careful to keep him away from the big dogs in the house day 1 and was protective of him days 2 and 3. We met her Emily and she is a sweetie who was almost as protective of Ronan and Kayla was.

Doesn't matter what type of animal it is, Kayla is giving it every ounce of love & treating it like her own! Kayla has helped out with a local rescue for the last 6+ years and is amazing with any type of personality your animal may have. Kayla helped rehabilitate my paralyzed dog the last 4 years now proving that she can handle a good challenge while staying dedicated to the care & safety of my fur baby. I highly recommend Kayla & can't thank her enough for being such an amazing/caring person!

I cannot recommend Kayla enough when it comes to caring for dogs (animals in generally honestly) she is truly something special. I’ve had the privilege of knowing her both personally and as someone I’ve trusted completely with my own dogs, and I can confidently say she has a gift. Kayla doesn’t just watch dogs, she connects with them. There’s a calm, grounding energy about her that animals naturally respond to. Even my most anxious pup seemed to settle in around her like they've known each other forever. What makes Kayla stand out is the deep sense of intuition she brings to pet care. She doesn’t treat every dog the same, she tunes in to their unique personality, their body language, their needs, and meets them exactly where they are. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a slow moving senior, she knows just how to engage and support them with patience, love, and attentiveness. Kayla is the kind of person who will get down on the floor to comfort a nervous dog, go the extra mile to make sure they feel safe, and remember the little things that make each pup happy. She truly sees dogs as family and that’s exactly how she treats them. I’ve personally gone to her for dog advice more times than I can count, she just gets them. From behavior quirks to nutrition tips, she’s the one I turn to. And when my dogs are in her care, I feel total peace of mind, which is rare and invaluable. If you’re lucky enough to book with Kayla, you’re not just getting a dog sitter, you’re getting someone who will love and care for your dog as if they were her own. There is no one I would trust more.

It is with great appreciation and admiration that I write this testimony for Kayla. During her time fostering with Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc., she proved to be one of the most reliable, compassionate, and dedicated fosters we’ve had the pleasure of working with. Kayla approaches every animal in her care with patience, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to their well-being. Whether it was a shy, unsure dog needing time to decompress, or one with more complex medical or behavioral needs, Kayla never hesitated to step up. She not only ensured they had a safe and loving environment, but she also went the extra mile—offering enrichment, structure, and individualized care that helped them thrive and become truly adoptable. Her communication with our team was always timely and transparent, and she consistently provided thoughtful updates, photos, and insight that helped us make the best decisions for each dog’s future. Kayla is the kind of foster every rescue dreams of having. Her genuine love for animals shines through in everything she does, and I would wholeheartedly trust her with any animal in need.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Kayla can host up to 2 pets per night
If any dog is dog aggressive/selective I would appreciate a heads up. Laid back couch potatoes would be best here, BUT that doesn't mean others are not welcome! I will accept all ages/breeds and Always down to do a meet and greet and see what fit is best!
