Before accepting care, I require a completed questionnaire so I can get to know your pet and make sure I understand their individual needs before service begins. Please provide information about your pet’s normal routine, feeding, allergies, medications or medical needs, house training, crate experience, sleeping routine, separation anxiety, exercise needs, fears and triggers. Please also disclose any bite history, resource guarding, dog, human or leash reactivity, escape tendencies, handling sensitivities, and compatibility with dogs, cats and children. Because appropriate activities may include outings or transportation depending on the booked service and individual pet, please clearly disclose any exercise, transportation or outing restrictions—including whether your pet may leave the property, ride in a vehicle, visit parks or trails, or participate in group activities. For house sitting and drop-in care, I’ll also need relevant information about other animals in the home, household routines, pet-related access instructions and anything else necessary to safely care for your pets and home while you’re away. Additional details—including veterinary information, emergency contacts, access information and service-specific instructions—will be collected during onboarding. The more accurate and complete the information I have beforehand, the better I can determine whether we’re a safe and appropriate match and personalize your pet’s care.

OUTINGS & ADVENTURES: Depending on the individual pet, booked service, weather, schedule and safety considerations, care may include off-property activities such as neighborhood walks, parks, trails, appropriate group activities, enrichment outings or other pet-friendly destinations. Participation is never automatic simply because another dog is going. Activities are selected according to each dog’s temperament, health, compatibility, physical ability and individual needs. Please tell me directly before care begins if your pet is not permitted to leave the property, ride in a vehicle, participate in group outings, visit parks or trails, or has any medical, behavioral, exercise, leash or escape-risk restriction that could affect activities. SOMETIMES A DIRTY DOG IS A HAPPY DOG!: During outings and outdoor adventures, dogs may have opportunities to explore, run, splash, roll and play—and sometimes having a great day means coming back a little dirty! I believe dogs should be able to safely enjoy being dogs. Reasonable wiping, drying and everyday cleanup are part of normal care. If a full bath is requested or becomes appropriate, bathing is available for $45 per bath. If repeated baths may be needed during an extended stay, I’ll communicate with you before providing additional paid baths whenever reasonably possible. Bathing is a basic cleanup service and should not be confused with professional grooming. WEATHER & ACTIVITIES: Outdoor activities may be modified for rain, snow, ice, storms, extreme heat or cold, air quality, unsafe surfaces, or an individual pet’s health and physical limitations. When extended outdoor activity isn’t appropriate, I adjust the day with shorter outings, potty breaks, indoor enrichment, individual play, mental stimulation and appropriate rest. Safety takes priority over sticking to a predetermined activity schedule. PHOTOS & UPDATES: Staying connected is part of the care! I take plenty of photos throughout each stay so you can actually see how your pet is settling in, spending their day and enjoying their time with us. On the first day, I typically send a settling-in update within or around the first 1–2 hours, once your pet has had an opportunity to adjust. This provides some early reassurance while allowing me to keep my attention where it belongs—on introductions, safety, comfort and your pet. I also send a nightly recap with photos taken throughout the day. Updates may include meals, potty habits, activities, mood, medications when applicable and how your pet is doing overall. During longer stays, you can expect regular photo communication and nightly updates, with additional photos or check-ins throughout the day as time and activities allow. If you prefer more or less communication, just let me know before care begins. PUPPY & ADOLESCENT CARE: Dogs under 2 years of age are considered puppy/adolescent-care clients for my pricing purposes and are subject to the applicable puppy/adolescent care rate. Younger dogs commonly require additional supervision, potty opportunities, enrichment, exercise, redirection, routine management and hands-on attention. MEDICATION & SPECIAL CARE: I’m comfortable caring for pets with a range of additional needs, including oral and topical medications, insulin/injections, subcutaneous fluids, senior care, mobility support and other individualized care routines within my experience and ability to safely accommodate. Medications, injections, fluids and specialized routines must be reviewed and, when appropriate, demonstrated during the meet and greet. Written instructions must also be provided for reference—either typed directly into our Rover conversation or photographed and uploaded to the chat. Simple medication administration may be included when it requires minimal additional handling or preparation. Medication care requiring additional time, handling, preparation, monitoring or multiple administrations may incur an additional fee of $5–$50 per day, depending on the medication, route, frequency, timing and level of hands-on support required. Special-care rates are available for pets requiring substantially greater-than-standard supervision, medical routines or hands-on support. Any applicable additional charges will be discussed and agreed upon before booking. FOOD & BELONGINGS: Please provide enough of your pet’s regular, labeled food for the stay, along with clear feeding instructions. Pre-portioned meals are appreciated when practical. I do not need beds, blankets, or toys. Please do not send anything you would be upset or surprised to see damaged, lost, or destroyed. A travel crate may be provided only for shy dogs who genuinely need a familiar, secure place to feel comfortable. If your dog uses one, please label it clearly with your dog’s name. If you would like to send one T-shirt with your scent for comfort, that is fine. Please label it clearly with your dog’s name. If food runs short or an unexpected issue arises, I’ll contact you so we can determine the safest option rather than unnecessarily changing your pet’s normal diet. HOLIDAY & PEAK PERIODS: Holiday and peak-period rates may apply during major holidays, holiday weekends and other high-demand travel periods throughout the year. Applicable pricing will be reflected in your Rover booking or discussed and confirmed before booking. SAME DAY/LAST-MINUTE & EARLY ACCOMMODATIONS: Last-minute and same-day requests are welcome when availability and logistics allow. Additional charges may apply depending on the service and care required, with any applicable adjustment discussed before booking.
