Hi! My name is Kayla. I’m passionate about animals and have dedicated both my education, work life and personal life to understanding and caring for dogs. I hold a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, where I developed a strong understanding of canine behaviour, welfare, body language, and positive reinforcement training methods. I have also worked in dog kennels, so I have lots of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I currently have five dogs of my own, so I’m very experienced in managing different personalities, energy levels, routines, and behaviours. Living with multiple dogs has taught me how important patience, consistency, enrichment, and understanding individual needs are for happy, well-balanced pets. I strongly believe in positive reinforcement and creating a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment for every dog in my care. Through both my studies and hands-on experience, I’ve learnt how to recognise and respond to different behaviours and body language, helping me make dogs feel comfortable, secure, and understood. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, nervous and shy, or older and needing a gentler pace, I’ll always adapt my care to suit their individual personality and needs. Your pet’s wellbeing, safety, and happiness will always be my top priority. I also have my own car fitted with dog seatbelts, meaning I can safely transport dogs if needed and travel flexibly for walks, drop-ins, or house sitting.
