Pet care experience
Active lifestyle & love dogs!
I started working at a veterinary hospital at age 12 and continued there until college. The vet had a doggy daycare and boarding facility. I also have watched dogs in my home for 15 years. I am now a human nurse and able to offer standard first aide care as well as medication administration. I care very deeply for all the dogs I watch and treat them like my own!

Ratings and reviews
Kayla did a great job taking care of Suzie. I was happy with the service and Suzie was well taken care of.

Kayla was absolutely wonderful with Mitta! She took care of her for two weeks while Mitta was in heat, which required some extra attention and care. Kayla handled everything incredibly well and made me feel completely comfortable knowing Mitta was in good hands. She was caring, responsible, attentive, and clearly treated Mitta like her own. I really appreciated the care and attention she gave her throughout the entire stay. Mitta was happy and well cared for when I picked her up. I would absolutely trust Kayla with Mitta again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thank you, Kayla!

Kayla took such great care of my baby. I would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again in the future. Thanks again so much Kayla!!

Kayla took such great care of our puppy!! We know puppies require extra work and Kayla was great with managing her extra energy! We would definitely have her watch Margo again!

Kayla took amazing care of our Berner!! Will deff use her services again. Super responsive and great to work with. Thank you!

Kayla really put me at ease about leaving my dog for over a week. I felt like I was dropping my child off at daycare and the parent needed more consolation than the little one! She and her daughter took fine care of her and provided me with periodic updates to put my mind at rest. I really appreciated being able to leave my pup knowing that she was with a caregiver who genuinely enjoyed having her company. Thank you, Kayla.

Schedule
I am an oncology nurse and work (only 4 days a week). I am gone from 7:30 am until 5 pm Monday-Thursday and have a family member come over around lunchtime to let my dogs out for a potty break and walk. I am home on the weekends and if I am out and about- it’s something I can bring the dogs to (hikes, parks).

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have 2 school aged kids at home. I have a small fenced yard in our townhome. My backyard backs up to a green belt so potty breaks are often done there, on a leash. I also do longer walks (30 min) morning and night. Friday-Sunday we tend to do longer walks or hikes when the weather allows. I have a black lab who is very friendly with others. She can be playful but she can also be respectful of dogs who need space. She gets along with all temperaments. I have a large kennel and a small kennel in my home if needed. My home is doggy proofed (locked cabinets and trash cans) so I let them have full reign of the house if potty trained and not destructive.
Pets
A typical day
My lab is high energy so we do 2-3 neighborhood walks each day and then might go play ball in a field or go on a hike. My dog loves the water so we go to creeks or chatfield res to swim too.
