I am an oncology nurse and work (only 32 hours a week- 4 days). I am gone from 7:30 am until 5 pm during the week and have a family member come over around lunchtime to let my dogs out for a potty break and walk. I am home on the weekends and if I am out and about- it’s something I can bring the dogs to (hikes, parks).

I have 2 school aged kids at home. I have a fenced yard in our townhome but it is small. My backyard backs up to a green belt so potty breaks are often done there, on a leash. I also do longer walks (30 min) morning and night. I have a black lab who is very friendly with others. I have a large kennel and a small kennel in my home if needed. My home is doggy proofed (locked cabinets and trash cans) so I let them have full reign of the house if potty trained.

I’m open to all breeds. I am comfortable with medication (oral and injections). I can accommodate higher energy and old lazy dogs. I do have one set of stairs in my house so please let me know if they can’t do stairs if boarding with me.
A typical day
My lab is high energy so we do 2-3 neighborhood walks each day and then might go play ball in a field or go on a hike. My dog loves the water so we go to creeks or chatfield res to swim too.

I started working at a veterinary hospital at age 12 and continued there until college. The vet had a doggy daycare and boarding facility where I worked. I also have watched dogs in my home for 15 years.

Kayla really put me at ease about leaving my dog for over a week. I felt like I was dropping my child off at daycare and the parent needed more consolation than the little one! She and her daughter took fine care of her and provided me with periodic updates to put my mind at rest. Kayla did a great job. I enjoyed getting pictures and updates and I know Chrissy loved being around other dogs and a yard, since we don't have a yard.
