I've lived with a menagerie of animals my entire life, and their care has always been a passion of mine! I'm comfortable working with all kinds of animals, including cats, dogs, small animals/pocket pets, birds, other exotics, and farm animals. When it comes to dogs, my expertise is working with herding breeds. I especially love working with puppies and senior dogs, but all ages are welcome. Breeds I've Worked With: - Australian Cattle Dog - Australian Kelpie - Basset Hound - Beagle - Belgian Malinois - Bernese Mountain Dog - Border Collie - Bull Mastiff - Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - Chihuahua - Doodles (many kinds) - Doberman Pinscher - English Bulldog - German Shepherd - Golden Retriever - Great Pyrenees - Labrador Retriever - Miniature American Shepherd - Miniature Pinscher - Pomeranian - Poodle (All sizes) - Rhodesian Ridgeback - Shetland Sheepdog - Shiloh Shepherd - White Shepherd Education: I have a broad background that includes dog training, working as a vet assistant, animal first aid, small animal husbandry, animal sciences and handling courses, and more. Boarding: To keep everyone mentally stimulated I work on training basic behaviors and tricks while dogs are in my care free of charge. Things to bring: - Leash - Food (I can store frozen food if needed) - Medication (if needed) I crate all dogs (except some special cases) while I’m away for their safety and comfort. I have lots of crates and sizes. No need to bring any bowls, I have plenty. I also have lots of toys and kongs, but feel free to bring a couple of your pup’s own for comfort. Other Services: I can also do dog training, care for medically complex animals, intact pets, and litters. Is it time for a nail trim? Say no more, I have yet to meet a dog, cat, or critter who I can't safely trim with their comfort in mind. Everyone is Welcome Here: I'm a laid back, very flexible person, and my home is a safe space for all pets and their families to come to. Everyone is welcome, so please be yourself! Kiwi has stayed with Kayden several times and he’s been great! Very dependable and communicative. He was also a huge help when I had some last-minute travel issues. Can’t recommend him enough.
Kayden was absolutely amazing - very knowledgeable and kind, and incredibly helpful with navigating some of our knowledge gaps with shepherd breeds. (Also very understanding with some of our pup’s eccentricities!) We were thrilled with our experience and very much look forward to working with him again.
Kayden was great with Kiwi! She seemed very happy there, and he is very experienced with dogs. I would definitely bring Kiwi to him again!
Excellent sitter with bonus human to keep dog company. Kayden is very gentle and communicates well, even with timid dogs.
Kayden also watches my sisters Belgian Malinois, and we were so glad that he was able to watch our boys (toy poodle and 2 shih tzu’s) while we were out of town. They were nervous and having diarrhea, and Kayden got them diapers to wear! He is very understanding, kind, and nurturing! We will continue to use Kayden whenever we can :)

Schedule
I am a graduate student, and am usually home in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Usually, someone is home so I have plenty of time to care for your critter.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard on a quite street, and am always outside with the dogs, never leaving them alone. Their safety is my top priority. When we are in the house, I keep lots of dog beds of various sizes for them to choose from, and if their owner allows it, they can cuddle on the couch too!
Pets
A typical day
I can provide walks, fetch, off-lead romps in my fenced-in yard, training sessions, food games, nose work, and more. It just depends on what your pet enjoys, but I promise they won't be bored. If they are good on leash or having previous experience I can also take dogs on a bike ride/run.
