Pet care experience

I love all animals!!!

I recently graduated from University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, and I’ve always loved being around animals. I volunteer frequently at the Humane Society of Birmingham and have years of experience caring for pets through friends, family, and pet sitting for other college students. I’ve had pets since I was around 10 years old, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I’m also a cat parent myself, so I fully understand how important pets are to their families and how much trust goes into leaving them with someone else.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m very responsible, dependable, and genuinely love animals. As the oldest of 3 siblings, I’ve always been someone people rely on, and I carry that into pet care too. I work different jobs like waitressing, babysitting, grocery delivery, and dental assisting based on my availability, so I’m used to balancing responsibilities and adapting quickly. I treat every pet the same way I’d want someone to treat my own pet: with patience, attention, love, and care. I know pets are family, and I take that seriously.

Safety, trust & environment

As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is for all animals to feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their environment. I understand that every animal has a different personality, whether they’re playful, shy, cuddly, or independent. I’m patient with nervous pets and make sure to respect their routines and boundaries while still giving them attention and affection. I’m comfortable with litter box cleaning, multiple walks, feeding schedules, playtime, brushing, and making sure they feel cared for while their owner is away.

Pets

A typical day

On a typical day, I’m pretty active and love being outside. I usually walk twice a day around Railroad Park, work out frequently, and occasionally go on hikes, so I genuinely enjoy spending time exercising and staying active with pets. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, trips outside, or just keeping them company throughout the day, I’m happy to match a pet’s energy level and routine. I work part time and pick up shifts based on my availability, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets.

I’d love to know your pet’s personality, routine, favorite activities, energy level, feeding schedule, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. It’s also important to know about medications, allergies, fears, triggers, or behaviors ahead of time so I can give them the best care possible. I know every animal is different, and I want to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away.
