Loving Family Dog Care—Tailored to Your Pup’s Needs Hi there! My family and I are lifelong dog lovers who have been caring for dogs of friends, neighbors, and coworkers—both in our home and theirs, depending on what works best for you. We have a sweet miniature poodle of our own, always ready with gentle cuddles and lots of love for your furry family member. We treat every dog like part of our family, and we know how important it is to feel at ease when you’re away. I’m happy to meet beforehand so you feel confident and comfortable, but I also understand that life happens—so I welcome last-minute requests too. If you’d like updates, I can send plenty of photos and videos of your pup enjoying their time with us—or stay quiet until you check in. We’re flexible and here to make your dog’s stay as stress-free and happy as possible.

Thank you, Kay and Julian, for giving Brooks such top-notch care! We really appreciated your clear, consistent communication throughout her stay. The photos and videos were great too—they gave us peace of mind and let us enjoy our time away knowing she was happy and well cared for. We’re also so grateful for how you went above and beyond to make her feel at home. Providing a crate and toys added a huge level of convenience for our family as we were preparing to head out of town. We truly appreciate you both!

We have used Rover.com many times to board our 2 dogs while we travel and have had some really wonderful sitters…but Kay and Julian surpassed them all. They went above and beyond our expectations. They sent us multiple daily pictures and videos of our dogs…took them for daily walks and runs, and responded within minutes when I texted to see if there were any problems. Kay and Julian are awesome! They obviously love dogs and know how to make us feel confident in trusting our dogs to their care.

My Penny had a great time being boarded with Kay and Julian! They sent me plenty of updates throughout the stay and gave her lots of attention and excersize. Very kind and professional, never felt uneasy using their services. I would 100% use them again!

Schedule

I'm a full-time student currently studying from home, which means I have plenty of time to give your dog the love, attention, and care they deserve throughout the day. I'm an early riser and can take them for walks as early as 6 a.m. I especially enjoy taking dogs on jog or trail walks up in Cloudcroft and similar areas—perfect for staying cool when it’s hot out. If I ever need to step out, my husband—also a devoted dog lover—is home and ready to help. We share our home with a miniature poodle and have years of experience caring for dogs for friends, neighbors, and coworkers, both in our home and theirs. Whether your pup stays with us or we come to you, we’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and part of the family.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment in our 3-bedroom home with an open-concept living and dining area. The space is minimally furnished, giving dogs plenty of room to move around, relax on the couch, or stretch out on the floor. We also have a fenced backyard where they can safely enjoy some fresh air and playtime. If your dog enjoys walks, I’m happy to take them out for some extra exercise and enrichment. Whether in our home or yours, I always prioritize each pet’s comfort, safety, and routine—just like they were my own.

Pets

A typical day

I love tailoring activities to each dog’s unique personality and energy level! For playful pups, we’ll enjoy games like fetch in the backyard or at dog park, tug-of-war, or indoor toy time. For dogs who love to explore, I’m happy to take them on walks or “sniffari”-style strolls to keep their minds engaged. If your dog prefers a more relaxed pace, we’re all about cozy cuddles, belly rubs, and simply hanging out together—ensuring they get plenty of gentle attention throughout the day. Whether they’re full of energy or total couch potatoes, we’ll make sure they feel happy, loved, and entertained. We’re open to boarding two dogs—but only if they come from the same household. If we’re already booked with one pup, we won’t accept any additional dogs during that time. This helps us give each guest our full attention and minimizes any stress or separation anxiety they might feel.

To give your pup the best care possible, I like to get to know their routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. Here are a few things I usually ask: • Feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, and any allergies • Energy level, daily routines, and favorite activities • Any health concerns, medications, or vet contact info • Potty habits and signals • Any habits I should know (chewing, barking, door dashing) Every dog is unique, and I want to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home, whether they’re staying with us or I’m caring for them in your home.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
