🐾 Daytime Dog Sitting Downtown
My wife Rachelle and I have both had pets our entire lives and can’t imagine a home without them. We each grew up caring for family dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies and playful kittens to sweet seniors who needed extra patience and support. For the past 13 years, we’ve shared our lives with our corgi, Tater, and have also cared for many cats with a wide range of personalities. We’re experienced with daily routines, administering medications, leash training, litter box care, and making sure both dogs and cats feel safe, calm, and loved. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, or just companionship while you’re away, we treat every pet like part of our own family.

We are so thankful for Katy and Rachelle! They really helped us out in a distressing situation when we were scrambling on short notice to find a sitter.. We live in Kelowna and we needed daycare for our 4.5 month old aussie shepherd so we could spend the day with family and friends to celebrate the life of our son who recently passed. When dropping Roxi off, she didn’t even care that we were leaving her, which speaks volumes to the gentle vibe that Roxi could sense immediately. Katy and Rachelle gave Roxi the care and love she needed. If we ever need a sitter while traveling to Victoria we know who we’ll book!
Katy & Rachelle were great daycare hosts for our Pepper! They sent us photos throughout the day which helped ease our mind and let us know that she was well taken care of and doing okay. Would definitely book with them again :) Thank you!

Schedule
Pet care is a central part of our daily routine. My wife Rachelle and I both work from home full-time, so we’re home with your fur baby all day. We start each morning with a walk and breakfast, then take regular potty breaks throughout the day along with a lunchtime walk or some playtime at the park. During work hours, the dogs relax with us in the living area or nap in our bedroom, whichever space they find most comfortable. We’re happy to let your pup lounge on the couch or curl up on the bed if that’s what they prefer. Throughout the day, we include playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of cuddles during our breaks. In the evenings, we go for another walk and enjoy some calm wind-down time. Because we keep a steady weekday routine, visiting dogs quickly feel at ease and know what to expect.

In our home, we focus on creating a calm, comfortable space where dogs feel right at home. We always follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, potty breaks, and any special instructions you share. During the day, your dog will stay with me, my wife and our senior corgi in our pet-friendly downtown home, with lots of cozy spots to nap, play, or just hang out with us. We also have a large exercise pen and can safely fence off an area for your pup if needed, whether for naps, feeding, or just a little quiet time.

A typical day
We love keeping dogs happy and engaged with daily walks, playtime with their favorite toys, enrichment games like treat puzzles, and relaxing park visits. We also enjoy tasty treats, lots of snuggles, and plenty of belly rubs to make them feel right at home.

- It’s important for us to know your dog’s routine, energy level, and any special needs - like medications, allergies, or sensitivities. We also like to know how they get along with other dogs, if they have separation anxiety, and what helps them feel safe and comfortable. The more we know ahead of time, the better we can make their stay as smooth and stress-free as possible!
