Pet care experience

Been told I’m the pet whisperer!

Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me.

Doggy Day Care • juil. 06, 2026

I couldn't be more grateful! She accepted my last-minute booking without hesitation and took such wonderful care of my dog. She even drove way out of her way to come pick up my fur baby. From the start, she was kind, responsive, and made me feel completely at ease. I received updates and knew my pup was in great hands the entire time. It's not easy to find someone you can trust, especially on short notice, but she exceeded all my expectations. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable dog sitter! I am looking forward to the next time I need Katy!

Katy is amazing. 20 out of 10 recommend! She was so responsive and quick to reply and help out with a relatively last minute dog sit. My 1 year old pup is pretty high energy and hasn’t been around a ton of other people and dogs. This was her first time staying with a sitter. Katy is obviously so experienced and relaxed around dogs. Drop off and pickup was seamless. She had great communication the from the first contact through the entire sit. She kept me in the loop about Waffles adjustment and shared pictures. I’m so grateful to find Katy and almost hesitate to leave a good review because I want to keep her all to myself! Thanks so much Katy! You’re the BEST!

Katy was great with our senior pug. She took us on as a last minute request and was very accommodating. We got plenty of updates and photos throughout the day. Highly recommend!

House Sitting • juil. 21, 2025

Katy helped me out when I was in a real pinch and needed a last minute sitter! She was so professional and made sure we spoke on the phone prior to arriving so we could go over my pup’s special needs. She immediately put my pups at ease, and that’s saying a lot with my anxious little one. She sent me updates and I will most certainly be booking her again!

Schedule

I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. Let’s talk!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals. Give me all the details of your needs and preferences, boundaries and particulars- no matter what type of sit- so I can be sure you and your pet(s) feel a sense of trust, ease, and predictability.

A typical day

I believe animals deserve patience, attention, & love. I’ll be sure to play with them, take them on walks, pet & feed them, and of course keep you up to date on how it’s going with photos per request.

Katy can host up to 3 pets per night
Let me know if your pet gets along with other pets, so I know whether or not it’s okay to host multiple animals during overlapping boarding requests if there are any. If a dog has a history of biting or charging, or any other behavioral quirks it's very important that I am updated ahead of time so I can stay alert & take precautions on walks etc. If there are any special protocols I need to take, it's important that there is thorough communication around those. Any details that will help ensure both your pet and I are as comfortable & familiar with each other as possible will make for the best sitting experience! I can typically accommodate quirks, as long as I know what they are! I have one indoor outdoor cat who, like me, has never met a pet he didn’t like. He’s very docile, neutered, and cuddly. If a pet I’m watching struggles to relax with a cat around (chasing, whining, scared..), I simply let my cat hang outside or in my art studio for the duration of the stay. So please let me know if a cat is an issue! Finally- it’s always good to have a neighbors number as an emergency contact, and your vet info, as well as permission by you at your vet for me to act on your behalf in case of emergency. I’ve never had to use this info in all my years but it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it!!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
