Pet care experience

Oodles of Love and Attention!

Let me shower your pooch with oodles of love and attention, whether it's long walks and lots of play, or snuggling on the couch with plenty of pets! I love to send pictures and see if I can snap a your new favorite portrait of your faithful friend. __Why I love pet sitting__ I love animals and they love me. I have many years of experience as a pet sitter, caring for both dogs and cats, including those who may need special attention for medical care or those rescued from abusive homes. I took a break from pet sitting while I attended grad school and began my career, but couldn’t help coming back to it now that time allows. It truly brings me so much joy. I grew up with a Beagle named Tipster, a mischievous fellow with a stubborn streak and a penchant for barking at anything that moved. I helped train him as a kid, and administered his seizure medications for 14 years. After many years as a Rover dogsitter, I took a break to focus on school and my career. During that time I worked exclusively with family and friends, caring for my brother's pup Buddy Dude (a hyper-shy pitt/vizsla rescue), a blind curmudgeonly chihuahua, two elderly pals (cat and malamute) with complex medical regimens, and a fiercely intelligent Brussels Griffon. These days I also take care of my 10-year-old shelter mix Simba, an energetic goofball with a heart of gold. __Medications__ I have experience with administering medications orally and via injection for both cats and dogs.

Katy did a wonderful job with our dog, Mario! We were sent pictures of her daily loving on him throughout her day while we were gone. The bonus surprise was coming home to a clean house! She put out the trash, ran the dishwasher, did the wash and watered my plants. I can't recommend her more highly. She is warm and engaging, especially with our dog. Hire her! You won't be sorry!

Katy took great care of our home and our little dog with a big personality. She stayed in our home for 12 days while we were abroad, and even came a day early when we had a last minute flight change. She sent daily photos of their time together and several days she sent a whole report of their activities. We came home to a clean house, happy dog, watered plants, and even an adorable gift she crocheted for us! Major Tom loves Katy and we are grateful to have found her ❤️

Katy was very communicative and gave detailed daily updates! She unfortunately had a family emergency and needed to cut our stay short, but was very helpful in trying to find coverage. We came home to a clean house and happy pups. Would definitely have Katy back.

Dog Walking • Apr 24, 2026

Katy was very communicative and made sure all my dogs needs were taken care of. Flexible when I needed a modification to our previously agreed on schedule. 5/5 dog walking, 5/5 report pictures, 6/5 walking reports. I will happily engage Katy's service for future walking needs

We’re so glad we found Katy to care for our dog! She’s reliable, punctual, communicative, and incredibly trustworthy. Katy made sure our dog got plenty of walks and fun outdoor time, along with all the cuddles and affection he could want while we were away. We always look forward to her updates—they’re thoughtful and come with great photos. Our dog warmed up to Katy right away and was calm and happy when we returned, which says everything. We would absolutely recommend her!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I'm currently working part time with a flexible work-from-home schedule that leaves me available during weekday hours for outings and walks, and home with your pet when I'm on the clock. When I'm sitting, I try to spend as much time as possible with your pet. I know he's part of your family and I want him to feel like he's my best buddy too!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard

Safety, trust & environment

I'll ask you questions about your pet's habits, preferences, and behavior to understand how I can adjust their care to meet their needs and your expectations. For example, knowing your animal is reactive toward other dogs helps me to make adjustments to walks and outings. Or knowing your pet is shy or frightened of strangers means I can plan ahead to avoid approaching them right away or bestowing unwanted attention/touch. Some animals are high energy and hyper-friendly! Others are quieter souls who appreciate companionship but have big boundaries that need to be respected. Understanding the difference is key. Ensuring your pet's safety and comfort is important to me, as is building a trusting relationship with them.

Pets

A typical day

I customize your pet's care after talking with you about what they want and need. Some dogs need lots of exercise and high stimulation, while others need rest and quiet cuddles. I'm happy to offer whatever they need. I can load up dogs in the car for a hiking adventure, take them to the beach or dog park, or just ensure they're getting typical neighborhood walks. Extra house-sitting services Are no problem! Let me know if you'd like me to stay at your home, water plants, feed the fish, or care for additional animals
