My husband and I both work from home, so our schedules are flexible. We often take walks around the neighborhood and nap on our big, pet-friendly sectional couch.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat all animals as my own. After years of fostering, I understand how important it is to build trust with the dog. I follow each owner's guidance on behavior, commands, and routines. We also require all dogs to be comfortable in a crate for the rare times we both have to be away from home. However, lots of cuddles and occasional treats for good behavior are non-negotiable. NOTES: 1. Dogs must be potty trained. 2. Crates or kennels are required during the first sit. Since we have an open floor plan, this helps ensure everyone's safety as we get to know your pet's behavior and sleeping habits. 3. While we love our communicators, we both work from home, so "talkers" or howlers may not be the best fit, especially on weekdays. 4. Our townhome is three stories with wood stairs. Though we have many senior dog clients, we want to make sure they have no mobility issues.

Information Katy E. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know your dog's typical routine, allergies, temperament, and triggers if any. I would love to learn how to best help them relax, their favorite treats and toys, and any specific commands.
A typical day
We live in a lively neighborhood and love to go for daily walks. If your furry friend isn’t suited for long walks or gets overstimulated, our townhome offers a small shared yard and a private dog run. There’s plenty of outdoor space for all the zoomies and grass romps they crave! We also know all the pet-friendly restaurants nearby, so your best friend rarely has to stay home if we can help it. If your dog is less active, I work from home and have a large area ideal for a dog bed. I frequently take breaks for belly rubs and to showcase them during client Zoom calls!

WFH Former Foster Craving Dog Time!
Pet care experience
Hey there! I’m Katy, a Dallas native living in the Bishop Arts area. I have owned dogs my entire life, and during the pandemic, I started fostering pups of all ages. I’d love to take care of your furry family member while you’re away and will treat them as my own! From potty-trained puppies to 100 lb+ good boys & girls, I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs and love them all. I am familiar with various medications and special treatments, especially for senior pets. I look forward to the day I can rescue and adopt my own, but in the meantime, I’d love to care for your pet and spoil them with belly rubs, games of fetch, and lots of cuddles. My husband and I live in a spacious, dog-friendly townhome. We have a small, fenced-in shared yard and a dog run at the back of the complex. We require all dogs to be potty trained and possibly crated until we understand their personalities. I’d love to meet you; hopefully, it’ll be a match made in dog heaven!
Reviews

If you are looking for experienced and loving caretakers for your fur babies, you came to the right place! HUGE thanks and appreciation to Katy and Jack for opening thier home and taking exceptional attention and care for my two babies Sam and Frankie. This was the first time ever leaving them in the care of someone else while out of town and I have to be honest, I was a bit nervous at first. But Katy made the whole process easy and seamless. Both Sam and Frankie instantly took to Katy and Jack as soon as they opened the door. We recieved daily updates and pics from Katy which really set our minds at ease and allowed my sons and I to enjoy our vacation to the fullest. We will definitely use thier services again in the future! @katy&jack, you guys are amazing people! Thank you again! -Dan Hinojosa

My little pup loves her sleepovers with Katy!

Ridley really enjoyed spending time with Katy. I am sure she will be looking forward to future visits.

The best at what they do. I am grateful. My dog had two accidents while at her house and she never made me feel bad about it. Hence the tip. I am grateful
