I have a one bedroom apartment. If the guest dog doesn’t get along with mine, I can keep the dogs in separate rooms and take them on individual walks. I also have an extra medium-large crate and blankets if needed. I’m willing to do whatever is requested in order for the client’s dog to relax in their own home as well.

Information Katrina T. would like to know about your pet

It would help to know what kind of medications/medical conditions your dog has if any, a base temperament, and if there are any behavior quirks I should be aware of when on walks/in homes/etc.

A typical day

I’m happy to take dogs on long walks in areas they are comfortable with, and I can play with dogs or set up any toys/puzzles they might have.

Pet care experience

Growing up, I had helped my uncle pet sitting a number of dogs he had for many years. After college, I worked at a horse barn working and training horses for English riding lessons from beginner to immediate riders. After I moved out of the house, my mom got her first dog, a large pit mix. I would often help take care of him every holiday I returned home to visit. Once I had settled in the LA area, I adopted my first dog a GSD Mix who I started working with similarly to the horses at the barn I worked at. People always tell me how impressed they are with how well-behaved my dog is thanks to my previous experience.

I highly recommend Katrina as a dog walker. She is incredibly patient, skillful, and brings a wealth of experience working with a variety of dog breeds. Her calm and confident energy is remarkable and immediately puts both dogs and their owners at ease. Katrina is dependable, reliable, and physically capable—always showing up on time and ready to provide the best care possible. She has a true passion for dogs and is deeply committed to their well-being and safety. She communicates effectively with both clients and their pets, demonstrating a strong understanding of canine body language and leash control. Katrina is responsive, cooperative, and knowledgeable, always providing personalized care with a positive attitude. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their dog walker.

Katrina's background is in owning, caring for, and training horses. She spent years as a young woman working in a horse barn. As well as the daily care of the horses, she trained poor behaviors out of horses. Since she worked in a barn that specialized in giving lessons to inexperience riders (including children), this was a common problem. Katrina also owned a horse, Trooper, until just a few years ago. When Trooper came to Katrina he had a lot of behavioral challenges that Katrina worked extensively with him on. Trooper needed a lot of exercise and care. Katrina cared wonderfully for Trooper and adored him. In addition to riding him herself, she also trained him to work as a lesson horse at her barn to help him to get all the exercise he needs. In addition to her experience with horses, Katrina is an excellent dog owner. Her dog, Roxy (a shepard/husky mix), is excellently cared for and trained. Katrina adores Roxy and is constantly thinking of her well being and comfort. Roxy is walked multiple times a day, brushed regularly (she sheds a LOT), and very loved. Katrina also grew up around dogs and still regularly sees her childhood dog, Bruno, who still lives with her mother. As Bruno has grown older, Katrina has helped her mother to handle the health issues that come with his advanced age. Katrina would be an excellent caregiver for any pet. She's experienced at handling animals with behavioral challenges, training animals, and is loving and caring to animals of all types.
