I currently don’t have any obligations as I am on summer break from college. I’m available anytime during the day or evening to care, tend, play, and love your animals! I plan to take dogs on walks everyday and as a bonus it will surely keep me in shape.

I care for pets in my home as if they were my own 2 dogs that I have at home. They would obviously adhere to the same rules and standards as my dogs have at home. They are allowed on couches and beds, to have treats given with a command, and to freely roam majority of the house and the entirety of the spacious and fenced in backyard under supervision as they please. I would provide their own water and food dishes, any basic grooming if the client wanted that, and give them their own bed to sleep or relax on. Whatever other routine and requirements the client requested I would of course also implement. As for a clients home, which would be preferred, I would act as a guest and care for the pets under the parameters given by their owner. I would be sure to refill their water and give them food as intended and I would also sit on the floor with them and play/entertain them. Lastly, the most important thing, is I would follow and actively engage in their pet parameters they have as an individual. For example some pets aren’t allowed on furniture or some might need to have their paws wiped when transitioning from outdoors to indoors.

I want to know any allergies to be aware of as well as any medication they will require. I want to know how many times they need to eat and what and how much. I would also like to be aware of their dos and don’ts like make sure they don’t go outside right after eating or make sure they do sit before eating their meal. Lastly a bonus would be weird or unusual common behaviors of theirs that might look alarming or be something of concern if I’m not aware its something they do regularly.
A typical day
I would start by feeding them breakfast then tending to their basic needs like getting them fresh water, brushing them, and removing their eye boogers. After we would go out in the backyard and all play together and run around to get some energy out. We’d also play fetch and tug of war. After they’d be exhausted so they’d possibly settle in for a nap and then wake up looking for a little healthy snack or treat. Then we’d go for a nice long walk if the weather permitted. I like walking down by the beach, specifically tappens, or over by Roslyn and Glen head where they have lots of nature trails and spaces. For dogs that like a good window cracked car ride or don’t mind riding in cars I am able to add an array of other things for us to do like go to Starbucks to get a pup cup or If I wanted to switch it up or introduce them to some new friendly faces I would also take them to either Glen cove dog park or Garvies point dog park. We’d end the day with another post walk/play nap and then some dinner.

I’ve taken care of all 3 of the dogs I’ve known/had in my lifetime from the early age of 8. My family has relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, brush&comb their fur, and brush their teeth. I have even dog sat other people’s dogs and they returned safely and happily back to their owners. As if they were my own I do almost anything to protect your dog as well as ensure they are well cared for, feeling and looking good, as well as are content when they are in my care. I’m able to keep up with the hygiene needs of dogs very well as well as being well versed on a good nutritional diet for a dog. I too am able to take care of puppies/dogs ranging from any age to any size and breed. I don’t discriminate!

Katrina is a very passionate animal lover and has always also made sure that the safety of the animal is top priority. Our two rescued beagles adore her and trust her completely letting her brush their teeth and are heart broken when she leaves even for a short while. As a very compassioned dog owner I would have no problem trusting her with my precious pet ever.
Katrina is terrific with animals. She loves playing and taking care of our two dogs. Katrina takes them for walks, brushes them, brushes their teeth and makes healthy snacks.
