If you have any specific training or commands you would like me to practice, please let me know. I can work around your dogs' needs, walk schedule, etc. In general, we'll go for a morning, lunch, after work and pre bed walks or potty breaks depending on your dogs' energy and interest. I go for more potty breaks when watching puppies. During the summer I will keep the longer walks to cooler times of the day. On average I send 7+ pictures per day. I know you may be traveling or busy and do not expect responses, but if there is a better way to communicate with you or if you have any specific preferences, let me know.

Let me know if there are areas in the neighborhood you want your pup to visit or avoid. Unless specified as ok by you, and I feel confident after testing your dogs’ recall, I will not off leash your dog when outdoors. If you have a specific schedule please let me know and I can stick to that, to keep your pup on their routine. At times I may bring your dog to visit friends or family with dogs or children (mainly weekends). When the weather is nice and the opportunity arises, I may bring your dog with me to a dog friendly patio if it allows for them to stay with me (on lap or under my table only). Please let me know if they do not get along well with other dogs, do not travel well (in cars), if they have any reactivity or triggers, or do not settle well so I can plan accordingly. I prefer to avoid on leash greetings with unknown dogs and will always introduce dogs I know outside in neutral territory, ideally on a walk or parallel activity.

♥ Can your dog socialize with other dogs, people, children? ♥ If you have a specific daily routine, including sleep hours, feeding, walks, bedtime routine (if any), please let me know and I can stick to your regular schedule. ♥ Where does your dog sleep? ♥ Can your dog travel in a car and is there anything I should know? ♥ Are there any triggers that I should know about? ♥ Any specific medical information/needs or allergies? ♥ What does your dog do when you go out? If your dog cannot be left alone for any amount of time, please let me know. While I am generally at home or will bring your dog with me as much as possible, it helps if I can prepare a bit in advance especially for longer stays. ♥ In case of emergency, what is the best way to contact you? Please ensure your vet information and or contact info is up to date. ♥ Send me a message and let’s coordinate a time to meet so we can make sure this is a comfortable match for your dog(s).

A typical day

On weekdays, we will try to stay as close to your regular walk/outdoor schedule as possible. If your pup is up for a trail on a good weekend day, we can plan for a longer adventure. I like to think of this as a vacation for your pets, so if they prefer extra cuddles and relaxing, that's ok too! If your dog prefers more space or has any reactivity (other dogs, children, bicycles, skateboards etc), please let me know so I can plan our walks accordingly. I generally go for morning, lunch, after work and pre bed walks, as long or as short as your dog's interest and energy goes. If your dog dislikes the rain, we can practice some indoor training and play games for mental stimulation. If you have any training you would like me to practice, please let me know.

Pet care experience

Hello! We are Katrina & Tom, lifelong animal lovers. We both grew up with family dogs, fostered a puppy together, and pet sit for friends and family before starting to sit on Rover. We’ve worked on potty and crate training with puppies, hiked with active dogs and relaxed with homebody dogs. While traveling, we have house say in exchange for accommodations and can share additional references. I work from home so your dog will have a companion. Dogs we have watched seem to do best closest to their routines, we are happy to adapt our activities to their needs and interests. Your dog's comfort and happiness are our priority.

Katrina was fabulous! Took excellent care of our very anxious dog while we were able to enjoy an evening out. She sent lots of photos and worked hard to make him feel comfortable. 10/10 for sure!

Katrina is a wonderful, professional and empathetic sitter. We boarded our dog with her over the holidays and received multiple daily updates with pictures and comments. She was very kind and responsive to all of our messages and took great care of our pup! Our dog was incredibly happy and comfortable with her, even with a longer term stay. We are very appreciative of Katrina and would highly recommend working with her!
