I generally have flexible availability and will be scheduling Rover clients around my typical dog training clients. I prefer to be notified with at least a 3 day advance.

I am unable to care for pets in my home at this moment. When within my clients home I will be sure each pet has access to food and water, if needed and regarding potty training, as well as ensure no messes have been made within the house or crate. If there are, I can clean them up and notify owners of any issues such as potties, broken toys, or household items. During drop-ins I can play with the pet, distribute enrichment items, let out to potty, and feed. During walks I offer structured walks, which is an attentive heel with sitting when stopped and then breaks to sniff and potty upon release. Or I can offer a sniffari which is designed for the dog to guide the walk and sniff as much as it wants.

Please let me know if your dog has any allergies, is on a special diet, can't be left with certain items, or will eat/roll in poop. My largest concern is if your dog is people or dog reactive/aggressive, how do they react, what is their threshold, and how do you manage it.

I love to play with interactive toys such as tug ropes with dogs and create fun food puzzles that meet each dog's skill level. I am more than happy to take dogs to parks within walking distance of an owner's home; I avidly use the lake metroparks system.

Professionally I have experience working with over 30 species. I have a background in care of zoological collections, and am certified in animal welfare, husbandry, enrichment design, behavior, cognition, and training through San Diego Zoo Global Academy. I own and operate Grand River K9, LLC as a full time trainer. I have an outstanding passion for providing dogs with the best lives they can have and always strive to improve welfare in every way possible. Outside of work, one of my favorite things to do is design enrichment items and hike with friends and their dogs. I have a BS in Zoo and Conservation Science and a BA in Biology, and have been caring for pets since I was 8.

I cannot say enough good things about Katrina. She took excellent care of my Lucy, keeping me updated with messages and pictures. She left my home in pristine condition.
Better than better than best! Katrina did an awesome job taking care of our dog and house while we were out of the country and kept in great touch. We hope to book her again soon!
