It’s important for me to know each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. This includes feeding schedules, medications, behavior around other animals or people, and any triggers like anxiety or leash reactivity. I also like to know their favorite activities, comfort items, and how they communicate stress or excitement. The more I understand each pet, the better I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality. Dogs usually enjoy walks, fetch, and outdoor time, while cats prefer interactive toys, wand play, and gentle stimulation. I also make sure shy or older pets get calm companionship and enrichment that doesn’t overwhelm them. My goal is always to keep pets happy, comfortable, and mentally engaged.
