Dog Lovers in Prospect Heights!

My boyfriend Michael and I absolutely adore dogs and would love the opportunity to open our home to your pet! We live in a cozy studio in a beautifully maintained building in Prospect Heights, conveniently located right behind the Barclays Center and near several trains. The apt is on the 18th floor and gets good light, perfect for your dog to sunbathe or enjoy the view. We’re close to Fort Greene Park & Prospect Park, so there’s lots of scenic options for short and long walks. I mostly work from home so your pup will have plenty of company! A bit about us: I’ve worked in the restaurant and publishing industries and am currently in food editorial. Michael is a jazz pianist who teaches at the New School and also somms at a popular downtown restaurant. We’re responsible, loving and attentive caregivers. No children or pets, so we’re able to lavish your dog with lots of attention. We’re dedicated to keeping your pet happy and safe, whether it's going to the park, sitting at an outdoor cafe or simply snuggling on the couch. I’ve been dog sitting for many years and am comfortable with a variety of well behaved sizes, ages and breeds. We look forward to meeting you and your pet! Why I love dog sitting I’ve had a lifelong love for dogs. I volunteered with dog shelters when I lived in San Francisco and worked at a dog daycare in Chelsea, and I jump at the opportunity to dogsit and make new canine friends. My experience administering medication I’ve administered oral and external medication. If the pet is accustomed to it and I’ve discussed it with the owner, I’m comfortable administering medication.

Katrina and Michael were such good hosts! They were responsive, sent tons of pictures, and took such good care of my pup (including lots of adventures around Brooklyn). We’re super excited to visit again!

Katrina has watched Remy a couple times over the past year and each time it feels like I’m leaving him with a close friend. She takes such good care of him, giving him walks and cuddles, and always shares updates and photos. Can’t recommend her highly enough!

Katrina and Michael were wonderful! They were extremely communicative and sent daily photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Otis felt comfortable, happy, and right at home with them.

Katrina and Michael were absolutely incredible! This was my first time using Rover, and I felt so comfortable leaving Remy in their hands. They kept me updated with photos and videos, and I could tell he was so well loved and cared for. Would recommend them to anyone and can’t wait to have them watch Remy again. ❤️

Safety, trust & environment

**Please note** We live in a large building with lots of dogs, and as such cannot watch dogs that are highly aggressive since it’s impossible to avoid other dogs in the lobby and elevators. Additionally, we can only watch housebroken pets because we own antique furniture and rugs that cannot be replaced, and the building has a very strict pet damages policy. Thank you!

A typical day

Because I have a flexible work schedule, there’s plenty of time to play and hang with your pet and enjoy walks. They can expect going to the park, sitting at an outdoor cafe and simply snuggling on the couch.
