Please note we are in Troy near Zions Crossroads (about 20 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and 15 minutes from Lake Monticello). Hi, my name is Katina. I have been caring for dogs as long as I can remember. My earliest memories include setting up agility courses for my german shepherd in my backyard. To say I have a passion for dogs is an understatement. I recently quit my job to pursue dog boarding full time and I could not be more excited to spend all day with your pup(s)! We spend lots of time on play, exercise and enrichment. Our yard is set up similar to a dog park meaning we have two separate fenced areas for dogs comfort. We have one small fenced area (4ft fence) to accommodate small, elderly, timid and handicapped pups as well as a large dog park sized fenced area to accommodate more playful mid sized pups (6ft fence). We also have a whole home generator for added peace of mind. When the weather is nice we like to spend a lot of time outdoors Health and safety is our top priority. We have a zero tolerance policy for aggression. If your dog shows signs of aggression during their stay they will be quarantined for the remainder of the stay and not accepted back. In order to board with us your dog must be friendly with EVERYONE this includes children (even though none are present in the home, they do come and visit), the elderly, cats and other dogs. Please provide proof of rabies vaccination (I need a copy of the in date certificate that is signed by your veterinarian). Please ensure your dog(s) are free from fleas ticks and intestinal parasites. Our storage space is limited so please only bring food (put food in ziplock bag and write pets name on the bag) , medications/supplements, and a leash. We will provide toys, treats, bowls (we have a variety of sizes both regular and slow feeder), crates if your dog needs one and plush bedding. Please ALWAYS pack extra food. We will not be able to fulfill requests to withhold water from your dog, so if this is something you require please choose another sitter. Please provide an emergency contact who is willing to pickup your dog(s) in case of emergency. Drop-offs/Pick-ups are between 8A-8P by appointment only. Please keep pickup/drop off timeframes to a 30 minute window. Please communicate if you will be more than 15 minutes early or late for your scheduled pickup or drop off time as we may have other obligations and may not be available if you show up early or late.
