Hi! I’m Katie! New to Rover but not new to watching pets for friends and family. I work from home so I have the flexibility to go anywhere to watch your pet while you are enjoying your vacation. Growing up I used have a dog and loved taking her on walks and playing fetch. Over the years, I have taken care of friends and family’s dogs and cats, so I have an understanding the attention to take care of a pet and what is required to make sure they are cared for while you’re away. When you’re away, I’ll make sure to keep you updated, and send a video and a few pictures daily so you can be reassured your pet is healthy and happy. I understand being away from your pet can be hard, but I’m here to help the process go as smooth as possible and reassure your pet is in good hands. I have watched a range of puppies to older dogs, and the occasional cat. I understand each animal is unique and will cater to their specific wants and needs.

I make sure each dog and cat know they are safe in their home and work to earn their trust. I will confirm they have everything they need and that their water dish will never go dry. I understand your pet may experience anxiety when you leave, but I’m here to make ensure they know they can trust me and will have a fun time while you are away.

Katie has stayed with Bella semi-frequently. I've felt comfortable with Katie taking my reactive, 64 lbs pupper on walks and having enough awareness of how Bella will react to other dogs to proactively avoid interactions. She's also stayed at home home for overnight house sitting/Bella sitting and I've returned to a happy dog and a clean home. I've had other Rover sitters who did not follow my instructions for Bella and had left my house a complete mess, Katie was the exception. On top of that, I had her walk one of my senior fosters and on the walk she helped find her a new family! I would 100% recommend Katie as a house sitter and dog sitter and would not hesitate to leave her with my dog again in the future.
Katie is an animal lover through and through. She grew up with a dog and often cares for family member’s pets while they travel. She is accountable, reliable and responsible with pets. The family member’s pets love her so much so that some pets don’t want to leave her care! Katie is detail oriented, kind and patient. Taking care of loved ones pets, family or not is a priority to her.

Harmonogram
I work M-F and I leave the office at 2:30pm. If you have a long day, I check in on your pets when I leave the office. I am based in Mira Mesa and work in Kearny Mesa, for reference if you live close to those areas.
