Dog Day Afternoon
I’ve had dogs all my life. Since I moved to North Carolina I have fostered over 10 rescue pups, ranging in age from puppies to seniors. I have experience with puppies and all kinds of dog breeds. My first dog of my own was a 10 year old senior pup named Eddie that I rescued from a shelter in Tucson. He was my soul dog and we had many wonderful years of adventures together. Having used Rover I know what it’s like to be worried about leaving your dog behind. I’m a major dog lover and will take great care of your pup! I live in a house with a fenced in yard and know of lots of areas for walks and fun. In 2024, I adopted a lab/shepherd mix puppy named Finnegan! He loves to play! In December 2025 we added our rescue collie mix, Claire. I work for a children’s nonprofit from home so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with your pup. Feel free to ask me any questions!

Katie always takes the best care of Maverick - I never worry about him when she is watching him :)
Thank you Katie and Finn!! Maizie came home healthy and happy and exhausted!! (Which is an accomplishment worth noting!!) Katie was wonderful and sent me daily pics and updates (yes, I am “that” dog mom) but I didn’t worry once about her care or safety. We will definitely look them up for all of our travel. And Maizie apologizes again for the squirrel. 😳🫣
Katie was amazing with my dog, Bo! He had the absolute best time playing with her dog, Finn and the two of them became the best of friends. Katie sent regular updates and photos that showed just how happy and comfortable Bo was the entire time. He came home tired, happy, and clearly loved. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter, we’ll definitely be booking with her again!
My second time going with Katie to watch my senior dog and she was AMAZING. She even laid out rugs/blankets to help Maverick feel comfortable walking around since he tends to slip on hard floors. 100% recommend!
Katie is phenomenal! She kept our dog Max for a few days and he had a ton of fun. Katie made sure to send us lots of photos and her dog Fin is so well behaved and sweet. They got a long so well and we will definitely be using her as our go to! We HIGHLY recommend!!
I’ve left reviews before because I’m a repeat customer, and for good reason—my dog Laci absolutely loves Katie! She always provides the best care, communicates regularly, and sends great photo updates. I will continue to book with Katie whenever she’s available for our pet-sitting needs. I highly recommend her!

I work from home so my schedule is very flexible and I can easily be ready for potty breaks or walk breaks for high energy pups!

I am a big believer of pets being allowed on furniture so I don’t mind if they climb on mine, but if you want to keep them following a certain rule I’m happy to oblige.

I love exploring outside so I’m happy to take lots of walks. I also have an enclosed backyard so we can lounge outside and enjoy some fresh air!

- Let me know if your dog has any special needs. I have a lot of experience administering pet medications and senior care. Would love to know ahead if your dog is a chewer so I can make sure they have lots of chewable items to play with!
