I have been doing in person housesitting for my neighbors for 17 years. In that time I have trained a therapy dog and loved her for 16 years and 3 months before she crossed the rainbow bridge in 2021. I was a vet tech so I have experience with all breeds of dogs and cats. I have been trained in administering medications (oral, injectable, and transdermal) and have multiple vet friends on speed-dial. I am currently my neighborhood’s pet sitter. I watch many of my neighbors cats and dogs on a regular basis and love to love on them as if they are my own pets. I have been known to buy a cake for a pup’s birthday and give them gifts for Christmas using my own money. I miss having a dog but am not in a place where I can commit to owning one right now so I live vicariously through taking care of other peoples pets.

I care for pets in other people’s homes because I live in a small apartment. I take care of the pet in my client’s home by keeping their pet’s routine as close to normal as possible. I will leave as little of a trace as possible when staying in your home. I have been known to do laundry so you don’t even have to worry about cleaning the sheets when you get back.

I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter for my puppy Queenie! From the start it was clear her knowledge of dogs and puppies was far beyond the basics, and the little details made a big difference. She was reliable and trustworthy from the beginning. Katie is incredibly attentive and caring, going above and beyond for our little Blanche. Especially on short notice, that was incredibly welcome. We will absolutely be asking for her help again in the future!
I can’t say enough good things about Katie! One of our dogs had to go to the emergency vet the morning we were supposed to leave for vacation and Katie was extremely understanding and flexible as plans got shifted around. She went above and beyond caring for our pups and kept us updated every step of the way. I would highly recommend Katie.

Katie is amazing! Our dog had an ear infection when we left and she went above and beyond in taking care of him! She bought extra supplies that he needed, gave his medication and gave him plenty of love and attention. Katie is a kind and patient person and she truly is amazing with Nova. I would trust her anytime to take care of him again! She was also very respectful of our home, went the extra mile by doing things like shoveling the driveway, gave lots of updates and left a nice note for when we returned!
Doggies were well taken care of for over a week!! Katie gave us regular updates. When we got home the doggies were safe and happy and the house was as we left it. We will use Katie again in the future without hesitation.

Schedule
I typically watch pets for days to weeks at a time. They are a priority for me, I will not leave them home alone for prolonged periods of time. I tend to limit my being gone to four hours, unless for some reason the dog needs to be let out more often than that. I’m happy to bring the pets with me when I run errands if they like to go in the car as well.
