Hi I'm Katie! I've been caring for my personal dogs for over 15 years and have been dog walking / sitting through Rover for over 5 years. I adore dogs and feel happiest when I am outside hiking / walking with dogs. I have also studied and worked as a dog trainer. When your pup stays or walks with me, they'll be having fun and learning something too! We will play, go on fun walks and adventures, and work on basic manners and life skills. I am comfortable caring for all ages, breeds, and sizes.

Katie took my dog on regular walks through the wooded area around her home. She also was very accommodating when my flight home was delayed.
Katie was so wonderful!! We have two large nervous dogs and it is hard to find people who are a good fit for watching them. Katie came over for a meet and greet and was great with the dogs, letting them slowly get comfortable with her. For the scheduled visit, Katie was super communicative and was great at problem solving by putting our one incredibly nervous dog on a long leash she brought with her to get him to come outside with her. Just a wonderful experience all around, I am so grateful to have found such a perfect person to watch our pups!
Katie has watched my pup in the past and was phenomenal! Very caring and went above and beyond to meet his needs. I recently had a last minute boarding cancellation that put us in a pickle, as we would have to be gone the entire day for a funeral. Katie was booked for boarding but was able fit him in for a walk despite being last minute. I am so grateful, as I knew he would be excited to see her, and I wouldn’t have to miss part of the service to travel back. Sincerely grateful and beyond satisfied with her care.
Katie watched Asher a second time for the past 10 days or so and he had a blast with her. I never worried about him and she sent photos and updates while I was away. He absolutely loves her dog Phoebe and I almost felt bad making him leave 😅 I highly recommend Katie!!
Katie is lovely!! She helped me out very last minute and took great care of my pup. He came home so tired from his walk. I highly recommend booking with her :).

Schedule
All dogs staying with me will fit into my routine. I wake up early before work to to take care of my dog Phoebe, typically going on hikes in the morning and in the evening we play in my yard. In the spring/summer months we go for additional hikes/walks in the evening. On the weekends we spend the days hiking, swimming, and exploring new places. Another dog fits easily into my schedule, and I will ensure to give the dogs some solo walks / time with me.

Safety, trust & environment
I treat any dog staying with me as my own -- the dogs safety and happiness is my top priority. Dogs are fed separately, play is monitored, and your dog will be on a leash unless in a fully fenced in area, or until I establish a solid recall with your dog.

I love to take my dog Phoebe on long hikes, walks, or trips to the beach. Depending on your dog and their temperament, they may join us for adventures in the woods.
