- Scupper is a 3 year, 9 mo. old Dachshund & Jack Russell Terrier in Cary, NC
Scupper is our resident comedian. He has a hilarious personality, and an innate ability to make himself comfortable wherever he is (especially across your neck for napping and sleeping, which we lovingly refer to as a ‘Scupper Scarf’) Scupper generally spends about 57% of his day trying to procure snuggles or following the humans around, 23% napping, 13% trying to figure out if he wants to be inside or outside and 7% playing with toys...only mere seconds eating his dinner as fast as he can.

Scupper is loved by our niece and nephew (elementary schoolers) and has had his ears tugged and nose sucked (yes, you read that right) by our neighbors toddler. He has done very well with these children, and has gotten many pettings from kids on walks and around the neighborhood.
- Gets along with other dogs: No
Scupper is a social dude. He loves being in the company of other dogs, and loves to play and snuggle. Although he loves other pups, he can be food aggressive in some circumstances, so he is always fed in his crate. Scupper is quite vocal around other dogs and it's not unusual for him to bark and growl a bit at first meeting. But once introductions have been made, he's happy to have a new friend!
- Gets along with cats: No
A skilled counter surfer, and taco steeler. No food is safe, unless it's up (very) high, in the fridge or behind a closed door! He is most talented at snatching food directly from your hand as you are raising it to your mouth. Consider yourself warned!
