Hi! My name is Katie, and I have more than 9 years of experience caring specifically for other people's pups, and over 17 caring for other folks' homes (and cats!). I'm a highly reliable pupsitter; I love dogs, but can't have my own, as my arts non-profit job often has me spending evenings away. (However! I will only accept bookings that allow me to spend real and meaningful time with *your* beloved pup!) I particularly enjoy spending time with flexible dogs - running buddies who are also content to take long naps are my favorite - but I have experience with dogs of differing temperaments and capabilities, including dogs who are blind and who need assistance because of hip problems. I have a dog-friendly office and the ability to take frequent breaks, so whether I'm boarding your dog at my home or sitting at yours, they won't have to spend the day alone - as long as they can comfortably take a car ride! I'm a responsible adult, pleasant to be around, resourceful and respectful. I'd love to meet you and your pup so we can develop a relationship - it's important that your dog likes me and that you trust me. That bit's non-negotiable for me; I won't book a sit without a prior meet-and-greet, so please let's schedule one! I'm looking forward to meeting you!

We've had Katie stay at our home and watch our two quirky pups several times now and she always does a wonderful job. We hope she will continue to want to look after our 'girls' when we take little vacations!
Katie was fabulous with our quirky and high energy rescue, Lucy. If you're reading this, you know how stressful it can be to leave a pet for several days. I'm so grateful we found Katie! We had a relaxing vacation and from all of the photos Katie sent, it appeared that Lucy had a blast - I'm not sure she missed us at all! Thank you Katie!
Katie dog and housesat for us over a long weekend and she was fantastic. We received frequent updates and pictures of their walks and downtime, and when one of our dogs came down with some stomach issues she was quick to act both in letting us know and helping care for our pup! She also went out of her way to go to the store and buy carpet cleaner for us since we were out! We couldn't have asked for a better all-around experience and we're really looking forward to having Katie watch after our pups again in the near future!
Katie did a bang-up job with Sam, who can sometimes be a challenging puppy to keep up with. Lots of great photos and commentary while we were away. Thanks Katie!
Katie was wonderful with sending updates and photos everyday. Our pup is high energy and Katie managed to tire her out with runs, walks, and ball retrieving. We'll be looking forward to using Katie again.

A typical day
I'm a runner, so if your dog runs, we can enjoy a couple of miles near my home (in Crown Hill, near Olympic Manor), near my office (in Ballard), or around Green Lake (if they're not prone to getting distracted by other dogs!). On weekends, I like to do longer runs on the Burke-Gilman or around Lake Union. If your dog is too small or old to run (or if they're significantly faster than I can handle!) we'll take walks around the block and play tug-of-war, and - if applicable - go for rides in the car. I'm also a top-notch pup-snuggler, so if you've got a dog that likes to cuddle, that's grand!
