Loving and reliable home from home!
We’re a married couple in our 30s with over 20 years of experience caring for pets. We share our home with our fox red Labrador, Woody, who is very much part of the family — and we treat every dog who stays with us in exactly the same way. We also have two children who live with us half the time and are both experienced around dogs showing them love and respect. We offer a calm, home-based boarding environment, taking a maximum of 2 dogs at a time (from the same household). This allows us to give each dog plenty of attention, affection, and a relaxed stay without the stress of a busy setting. Dogs stay in the heart of our home with access to all rooms with time primarily spent in the lounge, kitchen, and a fully secure garden. They are never kept in kennels and are treated as part of the family from the moment they arrive. Your dog can sleep wherever they feel most comfortable — whether that’s on the bed, in the lounge, or in a crate if they’re used to one. We will follow your dog’s usual routine to help them settle in easily. One of us works from home, and we are both home most evenings and weekends, so your dog will rarely be left alone. If we do step out, it’s only for short periods — and we can accommodate dogs who prefer not to be left at all. We have a fully enclosed garden with 6ft fencing and lockable gates. We also have have a gate at the front of the house to prevent dogs running out the front door and have the ability to separate dogs if needed. We maintain a clean environment, with regular cleaning of all areas, bedding, and bowls. Dogs can be separated for feeding or rest, and we have space available if isolation is ever required. We truly love caring for animals and get a lot of joy from giving owners peace of mind while they’re away. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or just a calm space to relax, we’ll do everything we can to make your dog feel safe and happy. We always recommend a meet-and-greet beforehand to make sure it’s the right fit for everyone. Feel free to reach out with any questions or specific needs — we’re always happy to help. We have insurance. We hold a licence granted by Arun District Council. We have valid and clean DBS.

Katie and her partner were perfect dog sitters for our 3 year old golden retriever. They were very attentive and accommodating to his routine and were patient with him as he can be very excitable and sometimes needs some direction and guidance. They were very communicative during his stay, sending daily updates and pictures and he looked like he had a great time. Rupert absolutely loved their Labrador Woody and Katie ensured he had great walks and stayed calm and cool during the hot weather. I would highly recommend them both and will be returning in the future.
We can’t thank Katie enough. We went on Rover to look for a dog sitter for our 8 month old puppy and found Katie. We went for a meet and greet and then Buster went to stay for the day. He had the best time and we were so relaxed and happy knowing he was well cared for. We got lots of updates throughout the day. So lovely to find someone you trust with your precious animal. Can't recommend Katie and Jamie highly enough, this is the second time we have left our dogs with them and their lovely labrador, Woody. Katie sent pictures everyday so we could see the dogs were being well looked after and very happy. It was great to know especially as this time there was a heatwave and temperatures were upto 30 degrees celsius. Woody and Casper are now firm friends and both Sandy and Casper are very happy and contented in Katie and Jamie's company.
Katie was so welcoming, flexible and super responsive to messages. Lots of lovely photo updates and videos. Oscar had a brilliant day both times he stayed. Thank you Katie and Barney - we would love to arrange another playdate soon.
Cookie had a great time with this lovely family. Communication around drop-off and collection was excellent, and they sent plenty of photos and updates during the stay, which was really appreciated. We also met prior to the booking, which was a lovely touch and very reassuring. I would book with them again without hesitation.

Schedule
Caring for dogs fits naturally into our daily life, as our routine already revolves around our own dog, Woody. One of us works from home, so your dog will have regular company, supervision, and time to relax in a calm home environment, with access to the garden. Walks, playtime, and attention are part of our daily routine, with evenings and weekends spent at home together. We keep things flexible and follow your dog’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled.

A typical day
We have lots of toys including ropes, balls, teddys etc and will play with your animals to keep them occupied. We can supply chews, licky mats or bones for stimulation also. If your dog needs walking alone let us know otherwise we will walk them with our boy Woody.
