I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds, even reptiles, since I was 10 years old. In my 20s, I worked as a nanny where I was responsible for both babies and fur babies, which taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to handle just about anything with calm care. Animals have always been my happy place, honestly, I tend to like them more than people. I currently have two of my own. A sweet, nine year-old springer spaniel and a playful, two year-old shorthaired domestic cat, who definitely runs the house. I live with my parents and help care for my ailing father, so being nurturing and dependable is a big part of who I am. I would truly treat your pets like my own, with lots of attention, love, and respect for their unique personalities. I’m excited to meet your furry (or scaly!) family members and give them the best care possible.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide a safe, attentive, and loving environment whether pets are in my home or yours. At my home, I have a fully fence yard and a separate dog run, giving dogs plenty of secure space to play. I also have a friendly dog who enjoys the company of others. Well, my own dog isn’t crate trained, I’m comfortable and able to crate your dog if that’s part of their routine. I walk my dog twice a day and I’m happy to adjust walks based on your pets needs and energy level. Safety is always my top priority. I’m very mindful of my surroundings before allowing any dog off leash and only do so insecure, and closed areas. Even then, I stay alert to other dogs behaviors, knowing not every owner is as attentive. When caring for pets in a clients home or my own, I respect the routine and space while making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for. I treat every animal if they were my own, if not with even more care, because I understand the trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. 🐾

Katie has such a great personality and is so good with our dog! He can be a little temperamental at times and he fell in love with her! She’s very prompt and communicates very well! We can’t say enough good things about her!
I can't say enough nice things about Katie! She was so kind to my pups, she left the house super clean even though I told her she didn't have to, and she left us flowers and treats!! She even found a spot where my naughty husky was digging under the fence and blocked the hole. Above and beyond. I really don't think my pups missed us. I think they want Katie back!!
Katie has been an outstanding pet sitter for us. She is always timely, polite, and genuinely caring with our pets. She’s taken our large Husky, Leo, on walks and handles his big, outgoing personality with confidence and control. Katie has also cared for our cat, Tiana, visiting our home twice a day while we were out of town. Not only did she make sure Tiana was well-fed, but she also spent quality time playing and cuddling with her so she wouldn’t feel lonely. We’ve had a great experience with Katie and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and compassionate pet sitter.

Schedule
I recently stepped away from my 9 to 5 job to focus on my photography business and help care for my elderly father, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to animals. I’m available daily from 8 AM to 8 PM for sitting walking and grooming, with options for short term boarding in my home and longer stays in client homes. Caring for my energetic springer spaniel has also made me very hands-on. I regularly bathe and groom him myself, including trimming his coat a few times a year, so I’m comfortable handling high energy dogs, and basics grooming needs. Your pet would be cared for with the same attention, patience, and love I give my own. 🐾
