I allow your cat to approach me at their own pace. I keep up a stream of soft singing or commentary while I clean their box and feed them, so your pet knows where I am in the home the whole time. I then will sit quietly and allow your cat to approach. If your baby is especially shy and hides during the entire visit, I will make sure to locate them before I leave.

If your pet has any health concerns such as allergies, illness, injuries, or is in heat, just let me know beforehand so I can keep everyone safe during my visits. I'd also like to know about any problem behaviors like digging out, resource guarding, or door dashing. I also need to know who your local vet is, in case I come across a health issue during my stay. I'll contact you immediately if that happens and we can discuss what actions to take.
A typical day
Your baby and I will play games together like fetch, tug of war, and chase me. If you're comfortable with it, I'll also take her on walks. I like to explore the neighborhood during walks, and make sure to give your dog plenty of sniff time. I'm VERY careful not to let your dog come into contact with other animals or be handled by strangers.

Pet care experience
I'm an experienced pet sitter and would love to take care of your furry family while you're away! I have lived with dogs all my life, and have worked with Rover for a year now. I'm happy to help teach basic commands and work on problem areas with your pet, as I know this is the best way to keep your dog entertained and stress free. I'm experienced handling puppies and seniors, and can administer the special care they need. Dog sitting is my full-time job, so your pet will have my full attention while during our time together. I have a dobie mix of my own, a goofy akita, and a clouder of bossy cats. I live on a ranch with chickens, donkeys, cattle, and rabbits. I also have experience caring for small animals, birds, and reptiles. I let your pet interact with me at their own pace. I stay very calm and positive, and back off immediately if your pet indicates they are uncomfortable. I'm a big believer in positive behavioral training. I never yell or physically discipline animals. I also try to keep as much to your schedule as possible, so your pet's routine isn't interrupted. The more information you can give me before or during the sitting, the better! I'm serious. Write me a manual if you like.

Incredible dog sitter!! We have used Katie numerous times. She is very thorough, pays attention to detail, very dependable and very courteous. She takes very good care of our pets and does exactly as we asks. Never complains about little ad ons like checking the mail. We absolutely love her and completely trust her in our home and with our pets.
Katie was extremely nice and asked good questions when she came to meet us before she watched our dogs. Our dogs seemed to like her and they were well taken care of. We called her one time during our trip to correct something that we had noticed on our security cameras, and she corrected it immediately and was very respectful about it. Our only complaints are that we found a pile of dried up dog poop on the rug in our (very stinky) office, and we had told her that do not let our dogs in our beds or on our couches - the guest bedroom bed clearly had a dog (or dogs) on it. The sheets were filled with dog hair and the comforter was covered in dog hair also. Katie did a lot of things right, and she helped us when we were in a pinch, so we would use Katie again - but we would make sure those two things were addressed before the second stay.
