Availability
I am available for overnights, in most cases, so long as I’m not on schedule for another client. My main duty right now is taking care of my animals at home, so I’m also happy to take on whatever odd shifts people may need help with.

How I would care for a client’s fuzzy friend would be an entirely personalized experience. I want to know how YOU want them taken care of, and what you are comfortable with and looking for. Then, I will enthusiastically and reliably fill that role, whilst ensuring a safe and protective experience for your pet.

Information Katie S. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing when taking on any new clients is finding out what their dog’s routine is, and little quirks are. Do they take medication? What’s their eating routine? Are they okay meeting other dogs in the neighborhood? Are there any commands or tricks you’ve been teaching them, that you want me to keep them up to speed with? I like to arrange a Meet & Greet with every new client, to ensure we go over every possible detail to keep your pets safe and happy.
A typical day
A typical day with me caring for your pet depends on what your dog’s capabilities are; if you have a younger dog full of energy, I’ll make sure we run around and play and run some of that energy out of them! If you have an older, senior, or more timid dog, I’ll make sure to keep a gentle vibe, and slow things down to whatever pace seems best for your sensitive pal. Every dog is different, and it’s important to keep that in mind when caring for them.

Pet care experience
Hi! I’m an experienced pet sitter and dog walker based out of Newton, NJ. Animals are my life! I’ve been working full time in petcare for close to four years, and as a caretaker for many years. Before going into dogcare full time, I was most recently working as a nursing home aid, and CHHA. Before that, I worked with farm animals at the Turtle Back Zoo, and volunteered with the cat adoption agency, ‘Kitty Kind.’ I’ve had and taken care of my dogs, as well as others, ever since I was a little girl. I missed working with our four-legged friends, and I’m very happy to have returned to this fuzzier kind of work. Right now at home, I’ve got two Malamute Labrador mixes. Needless to say, I do have experience handling big dogs, though I love the little ones, too!
Reviews
Wow! I can not say enough good things about Katie, Francesco and their pet-sitting! They took the best care of our pups, and our dogs came back nice and tired from having such a great time! I would highly recommend!
Katie was exceptional in every way. I received continuos updates/photos as to how my dogs were doing. Her property spacious and beautiful. She is a loving dog care provider! Highly recommended!

Katie provided wonderful care for our dog at her residence while we were away. She took the time to get to know myself and my dog prior to her stay. It was our lab's first time boarding and Katie sent updates regularly throughout the day which helped ease the transition. Katie's professionalism, passion and love for the animals was evident throughout the entire experience. Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough about how wonderful Katie is! She is very thoughtful and clearly cares for animals and lot. She went above and beyond for our dogs!
