Your Dog’s Home Away From Home 🐾

Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with 15+ years of experience caring for pets and four years as a sitter on Rover. ❤️ Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly love getting to know each pup’s personality, quirks, favorite things, and routine. My dog of a lifetime was my Great Dane, who was truly my first baby. I was lucky enough to love him through every stage of his life, including his senior years, before we had to say goodbye. Because of him, I have an extra-special place in my heart for senior dogs and am very comfortable with the additional patience, gentleness, and attention they sometimes need. Over the years, I’ve cared for my own pets as well as dogs belonging to friends, neighbors, and many wonderful families I’ve met through Rover. I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, energy levels, and personalities—from playful pups who want lots of walks and attention to older dogs who are happiest curled up next to you getting some extra love. One of the biggest things I want pet parents to know is that your dog will be treated like part of our family while they’re with me. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, and I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re safe, loved, and getting plenty of attention. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, whether that means walks, meals on a particular schedule, playtime, belly rubs, couch snuggles, or simply having someone nearby so they don’t feel alone. I’m also big on communication and love sending updates and pictures so you can see how your pup is doing while you’re away! After four years on Rover, I’ve learned that every dog is different—and that’s one of my favorite parts of doing this. I genuinely enjoy building relationships with the dogs I care for and love when they come back and immediately feel at home. At the end of the day, I care for every dog the way I would want someone to care for mine—with patience, kindness, attention, and lots of love. Your dog isn’t just another Rover booking to us, they’re part of the family while they’re here!

Katie is wonderful! Archie was very comfortable with her and her family. Katie sent photos of him during his stay and he got all the snuggles he could possibly have (his favorite). Katie was great with communication and extremely flexible with our trip schedule! Don’t hesitate to have your pup stay with her! She’s the best. Thank you again Katie! 💛🐾

Lentil had such a great week with Katie and her family. This was Lentil’s first extended stay away, so we were nervous, but Katie made us feel so comfortable. She was flexible with timing, incredibly accommodating and communicative, and sent us pictures everyday. Peace of mind about your pet when you’re traveling is so valuable, and Katie delivered that for us. We cannot recommend her enough!

Schedule

I work part-time and create my own hours so I am able to enjoy the flexibility to work around the needs of my clients. This allows me to put your pet first. My husband also tag teams things with me. He is a school teacher and helps out as his schedule allows.

Safety, trust & environment

I treat each pet like they are my own. I have a large yard and live in a family and pet friendly neighborhood that is amazing for walks. While your pets will get everything they need, they’ll also enjoy the company of a 3 year old beagle mix that was rescued at a week old. She is incredibly friendly and will provide great company for your pet. I follow all directions to a tee and will ensure your pet feels at home even when you are away.

Pets

A typical day

My neighborhood is perfect for taking walks. The older neighborhood has a closed loop that is easy to walk multiple times a day. There is no through traffic which minimizes cars on the road. I live within walking distance to a greenway and frequent it many times a week.

It is important to know their daily schedule. Do they have any allergies or dietary restrictions? What is their temperament? Do they get along with other animals? Do they do well with children and other people? How do they normally behave on a leash?
