✨ Get £15 off your first booking with code KATIE87093 ✨ Hi, I’m Katie. I’m 38 and live in a small countryside hamlet near Tiverton. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals, and that love has stayed with me my whole life. These days my partner and I share our home with four rescue dogs and three cats, so caring for animals is very much part of everyday life. I currently work as an Animal Care Assistant in rescue, supporting dogs with a wide range of needs, and I’m studying for a degree in dog training and behaviour. Before working in rescue, I was a registered nurse, so compassion, reliability, and attention to detail are at the heart of how I care for both people and animals. If you are looking for someone experienced, calm, and genuinely passionate about animals, I would love to help. Dog walking: I offer tailored dog walks around Tiverton and the surrounding countryside. Every dog is different, so walks are adapted to suit their personality, energy level, and health. Some dogs enjoy a relaxed sniffy stroll while others prefer a longer countryside adventure. My aim is always to give dogs safe exercise, enrichment, and a positive experience. I am comfortable working with puppies who are learning about the world, senior dogs who need gentler exercise, anxious or reactive dogs, and dogs with health conditions such as hip dysplasia. Safety, calm handling, and patience are always my priority. Drop in visits / home visits: If your pet is happiest staying in their own environment, I offer 30 minute or longer drop in visits. Visits can include letting dogs out for toilet breaks, feeding and fresh water, playtime and enrichment, litter tray cleaning, administering medication, and plenty of company and reassurance. I am also happy to help with small household tasks while you are away, such as watering plants, bringing in post, or turning lights on and off. You will always receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are safe and cared for. Dog boarding: I also offer short periods of home boarding for well matched dogs. Dogs staying with us become part of our daily routine and enjoy walks, enrichment, and lots of company. Our own dogs have morning and evening walks, shorter lunchtime enrichment, including plenty of sniffing games and brain work or just playing in the garden! They aren’t a terribly high energy bunch, so they’re just as happy relaxing by the fire with us too. We have a secure fenced garden and visiting dogs are always supervised. Introductions are done gently, often starting with a short walk up the lane so everyone can settle naturally. We are used to supporting nervous or reactive dogs and understand the patience and calm approach they need. Quiet spaces and a separate room are available for dogs who prefer their own area. Other pets: Alongside dogs and cats I have experience caring for many other animals including rabbits, rodents, chickens, exotics, horses, and farm animals. If you have a small menagerie at home that is absolutely fine with me! Qualifications and experience: - Animal Care Assistant in rescue - Former Registered Nurse with a first class degree - BSc Psychology 2:1 including animal behaviour - Dog Training and Behaviour Degree Level 6 - in progress - Experience with international rescue organisations - Fostered dogs and cats with complex needs - Owner of Bark and Bramble natural dog treats - Run Waggy Trails Dog Park - DBS checked and public liability insured - Clean driving licence and vehicle fitted with dog seat belts and crate if needed I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets. I treat every animal as if they were my own and aim to provide calm, attentive, personalised care. If you would like to chat or arrange a meet and greet, please feel free to send me a message. I would love to hear about your pets and how I can help. Katie x

Katie looked after our cat Arty for a week whilst we were away on holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. She took good care of him with lots of cuddles and gave me regular updates (with photos), so that I knew he was doing ok. Having Katie look after Arty massively reduced my anxiety about going away and was a much nicer option for him than going to the cattery. Thank you Katie!!

Katie is so lovely and absolutely fantastic with dogs! She is a trained behaviouralist and has experience in dog reactivity. She has three beautiful rescues of her own, all Romanian rescues just like my Biffy so she really understands their specific needs and quirks. X

Katie is absolutely amazing and super responsible. Her love and care for pets it’s unmeasurable, she’s a strong believer in free force and I can assure your pets will be safe and happy with her around. I will trust her to take care of any of my 4 pets without a second thought. She’s also very experienced with anxious/ fearful foreign rescues which is a bonus. If you need anyone to look after your pets don’t hesitate in contact Katie. Joana
