Hello! My name is Katie and I have been watching animals through Rover since August of 2017, but on my own for many years. I absolutely love watching animals and getting to know their personalities. When I watch your animal I care for them like it is my own. Size: I have watched every size of dog/cat from the teeny tiny 3 pounders to the very big 160 pounders. Have a dog/cat that is smaller or larger, I am up for the challenge! (I very much hope you don’t have a cat that is 160 pounds…. I might have to draw the line with that one!) Age: Any age of pup/kitty I will watch! I’ve watched young puppies/kittens with their tiny shark teeth to the oldies but goodies with no teeth! Breed: I will watch any breed of dog/cat! Personality/Energy Level: I have watched many different personality types, many are shy while others are so friendly! Some are couch potatoes while others are super energetic and the occasional 0 to 45mph (Greyhounds!) Medication/Health: I have given oral medications (I always watch and make sure they actually eat it) and topical medications. I have not gone to Vet School nor have I worked in a Vet Clinic so any knowledge I have of dogs/cats is from growing up with them and from what you tell me about your dog/cat. With that being said I will watch over your dog/cat like they are my own and if I think something is wrong, I will take the proper steps depending on the issue at hand (calling you, calling Rover, taking to the Vet, Emergency Vet, etc). Diet: Kibble, wet food, and a raw diet is what I have mostly handled. Some eating twice a day or three times a day. I have also had a few pups that were food aggressive so they ate in different areas. Leash Aggression: A good amount of the dogs I have watched seem to have some sort of leash aggression with people and other dogs while on walks. Because of that I am very good at weaving around the neighborhoods (advoiding people and animals) so that I can not only keep other people/animals safe but your precious pup safe! Farm Animals: I have watched Peacocks, Chickens, Goats, and Pigs. I am willing to learn how to care for any farm animal. I did not grow up on a farm or have any sort of farm animal so my experience is very limited, but the animals I have watched I thoroughly enjoyed watching them! Especially the peacocks…..
