Dog loving couple in Meppershall
Hi there! We’re Katie & Dan, and we’d love to look after you dogs in our own home in Meppershall . We are very experienced owners and love all dogs. We live in a large detached house in Meppershall, with plenty of space and a secure & safe fenced back garden. We both work from home, so our schedule allows us to look after your dog/s during the day, for the evening or overnight stays, whilst you work, attend an appointment, have social occasions or go away on a trip. We have two medium size hounds who are Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens. Sonny is 5 and Clara is 18 months old. If you live local to Meppershall you may have seen us out walking them in the village & fields. They are extremely friendly & happy dogs who are happy to welcome furry friends into their space to hang out & play. We will only accept bookings after you’ve brought your dog/s round for a visit and have met us and our dogs , to make sure your dog/s are happy & comfortable here and get along ok with our two. We will include daily walks within your pets stay, either solo or group , depending on what’s best suited to your dog. We have lots of experience looking after dogs, both our own and friends & relatives . From puppies to senior dogs. Including looking after dogs with long term conditions such as diabetes and epilepsy, so we’re comfortable giving medications as directed if required. We will send you regular updates and photos/videos on your pet’s stay, so you can see they are happy & well cared for. Please get in touch if you have any questions

As a vet, I'm very particular about who I trust with my own dog, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katie. I always felt completely confident leaving my dog in her care, knowing he’d be safe, happy, and genuinely loved. Katie is kind, reliable, and has a natural way with dogs. She treats every dog as if they were her own and always goes the extra mile to make sure they're well looked after. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to look after their dog.
Our 6 month old puppy stayed with Katie and Dan for a week while we were on holiday. They were brilliant with her - knowledgeable, unfazed by her puppy energy and brilliant at taking her out and keeping her entertained. They asked lots of questions beforehand and made sure they knew our preferences and her foibles, and we had an introduction with their two dogs before dropping her off so we knew they’d all get on. Plus we got lots of pictures and updates throughout so we had peace of mind knowing our little one was in good hands. Highly recommend.
Katie is an experienced dog owner who will look after your pet with all the care and attention you could hope for. She is a natural but also very experienced with looking after different breeds of all ages and with all personalities!

Schedule
We are available on weekdays for doggy daycare, except some Tuesdays. We can also offer weeknight dog sitting, and overnight stays. We have some weekend availability for both daytimes and overnight stays. We can have dogs for longer stays during your holiday with some advanced planning

Safety, trust & environment
We will look after your dog/s as you would at home in their usual routine. Please give us instructions on all their liked & dislikes, feeding, medications, walking, play & exercise, sleeping routines and we will follow the same at our place. Sonny & Clara will be here to be best canine companions too and help them settle in.
Pets
A typical day
Dogs who come to stay with us will have plenty to keep them entertained. They will be walked, will have free access to the garden and lots of toys and enrichment activities. We will also give rest breaks, and lots of cuddles and attention
