Pet care is already a central part of our daily routine. I work a 4 day remote schedule, which allows me to be home and attentive throughout the day, and we are also home on weekends. My partner, Kyle, works from home full-time, so there is almost always someone present to keep an eye on the cats and make sure they’re comfortable. We both genuinely enjoy spending time with cats, whether that means playtime, brushing, or simply sitting nearby while they relax. My partner has grown up with cats his entire life and is extremely attentive to their needs and personalities. Between the two of us, your cat will receive consistent supervision, care, and companionship throughout their stay.

Creating a safe, calm environment for cats is our top priority. Our home is set up with cats in mind, with plenty of enrichment and cozy spaces to relax. Doors remain closed at all times to prevent escapes, and windows are secured but open for fresh air and natural light. Cats love the view here. We have multiple windows throughout the home where they can watch birds and activity outside. There are window perches and a cat tree facing the street, which many cats find very entertaining. Throughout the home we provide scratching posts, corner scratchers, catnip toys, cooling mats, and interactive toys. Cats are free to roam the home and choose their favorite places to lounge, nap, or observe their surroundings. We aim to make visiting cats feel as comfortable as they would in their own home. We also respect each cat’s individual personality. Some cats love attention and playtime, while others prefer quiet companionship. We adjust our care style to what makes your cat feel safest and happiest.

Before your cat’s stay, it’s helpful for us to know about any behaviors or preferences that will help them feel comfortable. For example, please let us know if your cat has habits such as trying to dash outside, opening cabinets, eating foreign objects, hiding in certain places, or any other quirks we should be aware of. The more we know, the better we can tailor our care to them. For the safety of our cats and other visiting cats, we ask that cats staying with us are on flea prevention (topical treatments or flea collars are both fine). If you need recommendations, I’m happy to help. Our goal is to make your cat feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day includes plenty of attention, playtime, and relaxed companionship. We love engaging cats with interactive toys such as wand toys, lasers, and catnip toys to keep them mentally stimulated and active. If your cat enjoys being social, we’ll spend time playing and interacting with them throughout the day. If they prefer to relax, we’re happy to provide calm company and let them settle into their favorite lounging spots. And yes, we fully embrace being “cat people"! If your cat is comfortable with it, we even have a stroller and occasionally take our cats on short neighborhood walks.

One of my earliest childhood memories is of our family dog giving birth to six puppies right under my bed. Growing up, our home was always full of animals including dogs, fish, turtles, and a cat. Caring for them taught me from a young age how to be attentive to animals’ needs and, most importantly, how to treat them as family members. That mindset has stayed with me into adulthood. Friends, family, and past clients consistently rely on me as their go-to pet sitter because they know their pets will receive thoughtful, reliable care. I pride myself on being communicative, detail-oriented, and attentive to each animal’s personality. Whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or sticking closely to a feeding or medication routine, I make sure every pet feels comfortable and secure. My partner Kyle and I share our home with our two cats, Ash and Ries, who are truly the sweetest companions. We spend a lot of time enriching their lives through play, training, and exploration. We are those cat people who take our cats on stroller walks around the neighborhood. At home they enjoy plenty of enrichment including toys, scratching posts, cat trees, and a backyard catio with birdfeeders around designed just for them. Kyle works from home full-time and I work 4 days remotely, which means there is almost always someone present to supervise and care for the cats in our home. Kyle has grown up with cats his entire life and comes from a family of devoted cat lovers. Together, we make a great team and share the responsibility of ensuring every cat in our care receives consistent attention and affection. Katie boarded my two kitties just for the day and she definitely made the entire process super easy. She was so kind and cuddly to my cats. They absolutely loved being around her. She sent me videos and photos throughout the day which absolutely made smile I could not recommend her more. Even my kitty who is shy came around to her!
Katie is super so sweet and took excellent care of our mini Shihpoo over a weekend. I was concerned with seeing only cat sitting reviews before but Katie did well with our dog. Our dog even got to interact with her two cats 😂 Katie sent lots of pictures and kept us updated each day. Our dog was healthy and happy at pick up. Would recommend Katie to other small breed dog families!
Katie did an awesome job watching out cat. She was patient with our cat, accomodating to her personality and routines. She sent us daily updates, photos, and videos on how she was acclimating to a new environment and how she was doing overall. Highly recommended.
