Safety, trust & environment
I use the utmost caution when caring for dogs, cats, and other pets within your home. This includes ensuring I enter and exit the home quickly so there's no sneaking out/escaping, and keeping your home locked up and secure. I treat your home as if it were my own, and do everything in my power to keep your pets safe, comfortable, and happy while you are away.
Information Katie P. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know what medications, if any, I will need to prioritize giving while you are away. I raised a german shepherd with epilepsy, and understand first-hand the importance of pets receiving their necessary medications on a daily basis. Beyond that, learning their interests, likes, and dislikes, will help me to make them feel comfortable while in my care.
A typical day
I love playing with animals in whatever way they like. This might include playing fetch, tug of war, or running around the house playing chase. During walks, I give dogs time to stop and smell the roses and take care to ensure they are safe throughout the walks. I have experience with many dogs who are reactive or aggressive toward other animals, people, cyclist, etc., and can handle large and strong dogs on leash.

Pet care experience
I have owned and cared for dogs for 15+ years. I’ve owned a variety of small and large breeds, and have had past pets who’ve required daily medication. My partner and I have a rescue dog (Dipper) and cat (Mabel) that we care for, and I will love your pets as if they were my own! One thing that sets my apart from others is that I worked as a bather at Petsmart for 3 years while in college, and I am happy to trim your pet’s nails as needed! I love and adore all dogs! Let me love your pup, too!
Reviews

Our cat was well taken care of with lots of love and attention. Katie administered medicine and left us with complete confidence our kitty was in good hands.

Once again our cat was in great hands and loved all the snuggles and play time she got with Katie.

Katie is awesome! Thanks for taking such great care of the kitties, and especially for putting up with Trevor, who is kind of a meaniecat.

Katie takes wonderful care of our cat and home while we are away. It is great to have a trusted pet sitter we can count on.
