One Family at a Time Boarding!!
Your dog(s) won't be one of many here. We have recently shifted to hosting only one customer's pets at a time. I feel like it helps us keep a more relaxed pace, avoid burn out, and spend good, quality time with each client. It can also help in situations, where you need good quality care, but don't necessarily want a doggie daycare type environment for your pet. I have decades of dog experience (and cat experience as well), including work in veterinary clinics, service as a K9 officer, professional dog training, ethical breeding, and years of dogsitting (literally since age 8!). Dogs in my care receive individualized attention, structure, and supervision in a calm home environment. I do have small Chihuahuas of my own (and actually, we specialize in tiny dogs and common behavioral issues associated with tiny dogs), but my crew does not have unrestricted access to the entire home. This means, client dogs can easily be separate from our pets, if desired/preferred. We also have a cat who loves dogs, but she can also be separated during the stay, if your pets are not cat-friendly. If you're looking for a quiet alternative to crowded boarding facilities and would like your dog to develop a familiar, trusted second home, I'd love to meet you!!

First off, Katie is a seasoned dog expert! Her knowledge of dogs in general is impressive! Katie has pup sat both my chihuahuas and my golden doodle. She kept me informed about their well being the entire trip and was willing to answer anytime I checked in! I KNEW my dogs were not only safe but were also being loved on while I was away! I won’t leave my furbabies anywhere else! 10/10!
Katie was a great help with our dog. She boarded and trained her at her house and made her feel at home. She has a way with animals. Our dog was shy and had anxiety. she came back a different dog - braver and more confident.
I’m sorry to say that we did not have a good experience with Rover.com or Katie this past weekend. We needed to leave town because of a death in our family. The following day we were told our two dogs were not a good fit for the rest of the pack, with no incident, but potential. The day after, we were asked to find another place to house our dogs. That is ok, but trying to find someone else to take your pets when your 10 hours away and in the middle of a family death was very stressful and not very professional. Rover support was NOT very supportive. We placed our trust in Katie and the Rover system and that trust was broken. I believe this entire situation could have been handled better.
Katie is awesome! Brooke totally enjoyed her stay. I received regular updates on how she was doing, which is a plus! Her first time away from us made me pretty uneasy, but Katie assured she'd be just fine. And with this being a last minute decision, she was able to accommodate our needs! Thanks so much!
We love Katie! She is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. We were super comfortable right of the bat during our meet & greet. I knew Marley would be in good hands.❤️
We cannot thank Stafford Pups and Play dates enough for the care and love they have provided for our dog Mollie!! Our family recently did an international move from D.C. to Brazil on a military move. Unfortunately, we had to make a few stops along the way, making it a very complicated to say the least. Katie and Sophia stepped in without hesitation, and kept Mollie for us until we were in country and settled a bit. She even tended to a surgery incision that wasn't healing. She gave meds, as well as flushed the wound daily. On top of all of this, she navagated the shipping process through United Pet Safe to get Mollie reunited with our family, which was an incredible feat of logistics, time, and stress. Much love to our friends, Katie and Sophia, and the awesome business they have built. If you want someone to care for your pup in the most profession, balanced, and loving way, choose Stafford Pups and Play dates!!!

I have a large fenced yard and spacious floor plan. I send lots and lots of pictures and videos to pet parents. You know your dog best, so you’ll know how they’re doing by seeing their videos !

A typical day
Depending on the pup, we’ll play fetch, go on walks, go to the river, or nap on the couch. It depends on the individual dog and owner instructions and preferences.
