My biggest goal while caring for pets in clients' homes is to ensure the pet is safe and comfortable with me. I also prioritize having an open line of communication with the client while I am with their pet. I also make sure to keep the home as clean as possible and leave it in the same condition as how I found it. Additionally, I hope to use the supplies in the pet's home environment (toys, treats, etc) to get to know them and bond with them better!

Please let me know if your dog has any medical problems that may impact their health while I am with them (seizures, diabetes, heart or spinal issues, etc). Additionally, please let me know their social background and if they have specific commands. For any walking services, I’d also like to know if they have any triggers while walking like whether they are dog and people friendly.
A typical day
I love engaging dogs through play and exercise. I've always enjoyed walking dogs, playing fetch with them, and teaching them new tricks (shake is a personal favorite). My favorite places to walk dogs are in their surrounding neighborhoods and at any public parks that they are familiar with. I will not take dogs to any dog parks because of the liability.

Pet care experience
I have done Rover for about three years, in multiple cities. I grew up with large dogs (yellow Labs and German Shepherds), and have worked with dozens of dog breeds (and diabetic cats) through Rover, so I feel very comfortable taking care of any animal that comes my way! I have extensive experience with walking, feeding, and staying overnight with dogs, and have previously cared for dogs and cats with very specific health issues or behavioral tendencies. I’ve helped train puppies and adolescent dogs in the past, and also cared for a few senior dogs so I’m familiar with the amount of care and attention they require. Throughout my time working with pet owners, I’ve learned that clear and constant communication with owners is essential to building a good relationship with them and their dogs!

This is the second time we had Katie stay at our house to pet sit while we were out of the country for 3 weeks. Her communication was excellent and she left the house in perfect condition. I would highly recommend Katie!
