During the summertime, my schedule is open and flexible. I am home/available to be home as needed. I would love to speak more about your hopes for your animal comfort- whether they are able to be alone in the house, if you prefer crate training, or if they love time outside on my extended patio that is cool (with a fan). I am very comfortable with pets on the furniture or the bed and can speak more about your preferences with this as well. During the regular school year, I maintain a regular day job but can be home in mid afternoons. If your dog is comfortable being home in the crate or is safe to be loose in the house, we can discuss and plan.

I have a fenced yard and plenty of space in my home for your dog to be comfortable. I am very comfortable with pets on the furniture if that is your preference. I do have a cat who is used to dogs and will stay away if uncomfortable. My yard is fenced in with an extended cool patio. I am comfortable in taking your dog for a daily walk and/or playing fetch in the backyard.

I have loved creatures big and small for as long as I can remember. I grew up with cockatiels, cats, dogs, hedgehogs, hamsters, you name it! I am familiar and comfortable with small and big dogs. I love and enjoy the variety of temperaments in all pets, particularly cats. I am very attentive to the small things and understand the importance of detail and care when caring for pets. As the owner of a Weimaraner in my early adulthood, I understand how some pets can have more meticulous needs than others. When we would travel, I always hoped that our animals could have the comforts of home even when we weren’t available. I am flexible, kind, and hope that I can make your pet feel at home when you need that help most.

Katie was so welcoming and fantastic with Cooper.
Katie was absolutely amazing with our golden retriever, Millie, while we were away for 5 days. You can tell she genuinely loves animals. Her and her son played with Millie, took her on walks, and spent lots of time playing fetch with her. Millie was treated like part of the family and came home happy and well cared for. We really appreciated the love and attention she gave our dog, and we would absolutely trust her to watch Millie again!
