I have been taking care of cats and dogs alike for as long as I can remember. In addition to caring for my family pets, I started regularly walking the dogs in my neighborhood and house sitting at 10 years old, which turned into volunteering at the humane society walking, feeding, and cleaning dogs. I have experience with all different breeds, sizes, and personalities in dogs. I currently have my own dog and she and I would love to get to know your pet!

Katie was a wonderful dog sitter! From my very first outreach, she was responsive, professional, and made me feel comfortable leaving Saint in her care. She kept me updated throughout his stay and was great about communicating, which I really appreciated. Saint had a great time with her and came home happy and well cared for. Schedule
I currently work full time as a teacher during the week, but I am totally available on weekends and holidays! I’m happy to have your dog over during both weekdays and weekends, as long as you are comfortable with me being away from 8:30-3:30. For safety, I always keep dogs in separate rooms so no accidents happen while I’m away, and I can typically make it home midday for a walk/check in. My work is within walking distance from my house, so going back and forth is no problem! Having my own dog means that I already have plenty of time built into my day to play with and take care of your pup! We like to go for several walks in the park, play with toys, and go to the dog park.

I live in a pet friendly apartment with dogs of all different sizes. When entering and exiting the building, your dog will always be on a leash. When walking dogs, I am highly aware of leash reactivity in the dog I am walking as well as dogs around me, so I will adjust the walk as needed (stopping, crossing the street, using treats, etc.)

A typical day
I am a very active person which means I am great for high energy dogs! I usually take my own dog for a run or long walk at least once per day in addition to several shorter walks and trips to the dog park. I live right by the lake front and Lincoln park, so those are the top two places I like to go!
