**Due to frequency with which we have dogs, we are sadly unable to accommodate pets who are not good with others. We do not accept dogs with separation anxiety/excessive barking either unfortunately as we may need to leave the house on occasions and have very close neighbours.** I joined Rover in August 2022 and have since been sitting a variety of different doggies ranging from puppies to old-timers, small & big! I am free to do short or long haul stays for doggies, we are very accustom to sitting for long periods of time. I’m also used to a variety of different personalities whether your pooch is super calm and loves to sleep or fancies a play all day long! 😌 In terms of past experience pre-Rover, I’ve taken care of dogs since I was very young but took on responsibility of my two Rottweilers and Boxer dogs properly since I was about 11. They were very feisty and hyper as puppies so I’ve had lots of experience with all types of attitudes! I grew up on a farm too so am also no stranger to cats, sheep, horses, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits - the lot! What sets me apart? Pet photography! Something I’ve always done since starting Rover has been taking nice photos of the pets we look after - be it in action or just them looking pretty. 🤩 My phone has a really good quality camera so it lets me take some lovely depth photos. 📸 We are happy to have pets on the furniture or I can make a little bed for them on the floor if you like. I don’t have my own leads so would need these to be provided for the stays, but I do have things like water bowls, toys and treats (please let me know if there are any allergies).

Katie looked after our dog, Hector, who had only ever really been cared for by family before. She was incredibly friendly from the start, which made us feel completely at ease leaving him in her care. Hector was treated just as he is at home, and it was clear he had a wonderful time with her. Katie also kept us updated with photos and messages throughout his stay, which was really reassuring. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and would happily leave Hector with her again 😊

Katie and her partner looked after our Whippet so well. We got regular updates which was very reassuring for us and he was treated by them like he was their pet. He seemed very happy to have spent time with them and we will definitely use their services again :)
Katie was great. She was able to help me out last minute and kept me updated during Lola’s stay. Lola was very relaxed when she got home which is always a good sign. Thank you!! And hope to see you again soon.

Schedule
I live in a three story house in a small cul de sac. We have a very safe neighbourhood with lots of greenery nearby for walks, be they short or long. 🌳 I work from home most days and even if I have to go into the office I can coordinate with my boyfriend so that he’s home for your little one. Saying this, if I know I have a booking I ensure not to book activities during that time so I can focus my attention on the pets. 📚🐾

We can accommodate to your preferences e.g if your pet needs crating. We are also happy to have pets on the bed (unless specified that this isn’t allowed), and we do have some doggie shampoo too if you’d like us to give them a little wash. 💆🏻♀️
A typical day
There are lots of parks nearby where we take dogs and we also have outdoor space for them to do their business in. I usually do walks during my lunch break and after work in the weekdays, and then somewhere more spacious on weekdays for longer.
