Hi, my name is Katie! I’ve been pet sitting for over 6 years and have hands-on professional experience as both a veterinary assistant and an animal care technician. I’ve cared for dogs of many breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including seniors, anxious dogs, and those with special medical needs. I’m comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. I provide care, love, play and consistent updates! I prioritize patience, safety, and individualized care so each dog feels secure and well-loved.

Safety and trust are my top priorities! I know how special pets are, they’re family, and I treat each one as if they’re my own. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions, routines, and safety guidelines. I closely monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or health and communicate promptly with owners. I maintain a calm, clean and loving environment to make sure pets feel safe and cared for at all times. I send regular updates so owners know their pet is comfortable, safe and happy!

Katie is the best! She came exactly during her scheduled times and sent pictures and videos of Theo having so fun much playing. Very responsive. It felt so good knowing Theo was in good hands while we were away.
Katie is an expert caregiver! As a previous animal care technician at my organization, she provided wonderful care to all the pets in our shelter. No matter their breed, size, or temperament, Katie made sure they received the love and attention they deserved as they awaited their forever homes. Walking some of our population isn't necessarily a "walk in the park", and many require a confident handler like Katie to take them out for potty breaks and enrichment. Katie was someone I could trust to pay attention to the little details, ensuring both she and the dog remained safe and followed all protocols. I give Katie my highest recommendation, and any pet owner should consider themselves lucky if she chooses you for a client. She will spoil your pet as if it were her own!
I highly recommend Katie as a pet sitter. She has worked as a vet assistant and at the spca. At the vet where she worked, she was known as one of the best to calm and work with difficult cats. She was a dog walker at the SPCA. In her personal life, she has grown up with cats and dogs and seems to have a special connection to them. She is also able to administer medicines to pets. For example, she was able to give an asthma inhaler to her cat twice a day and have him take a twice daily pill for his heart condition. She was also able to wipe my cats teeth to help control her gingivitis. Anyone with a cat knows this is no small feat. If you are looking for a qualified pet sitter who is dependable, caring and competent, look no further. Katie is your person!

Schedule
I’m a full-time student, but I have flexibility built into my schedule to provide dependable pet care! I’m fully free on Saturdays and Sundays. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I’m free from 2:45pm to the rest of the day. Tuesdays and Thursdays I’m free from 9am-9:30am before class, and then I’m available 5:45pm to the rest of the day after classes. I’m able to accommodate walks, drop-in visits, feedings, medications, playing, and love! I plan my classes and commitments carefully to allow me to prioritize a pet’s routine and ensure they receive consistent, attentive care. I’m committed to maintaining routines that help pets feel comfortable and stress-free while their owners are away.
