Hi! I am an energetic person with a zest for life. I’m also reliable, trustworthy, and will always be there for your pet when you can’t be. Zack, my partner, is available when I am not. TL;DR: I will love your pets as you do. I only offer the BEST care for your special companion, where they are happiest either in their own home or a place much like home. As a fur parent who can relate, I go all out with safety and will not break your rules, if any. Your companion will have fun and/or relax with Rigel and me! 🐾🎾🐾 ABOUT KATIE 🐾🎾🐾 (she/her). I grew up with animals and used to dream of being the next Dr. Doolittle. I'm an animal rights activist, so you can rest assured knowing your fur- (or feather- or scale-) baby is in great hands. I studied veterinary care for a year before I went into business. At one point, my childhood farm had 5 dogs, 13 cats, 3 goats, 2 horses, 2 parakeets, 1 hamster, and a wild turkey. I think you can say that I'm quite comfortable with animals. I love running a business consulting agency and other start-ups. This gives me the flexibility to work anywhere and set my own schedule. Working from home enables checking in with your pets frequently throughout the day. The flexibility also reduces the need to leave pets alone for long periods, if ever. One cool thing about me is that I am Deaf. Deafhood has enabled me to see more and appreciate the small things in life. I am able to read pets' body language very well (i.e., nervous tail lowering and licking) and quickly make behavioral modifications (i.e., engaging in a non-threatening way) as appropriate. Bonus, no worries if your pet makes a lot of noise! 🐾🎾🐾 ABOUT ZACK 🐾🎾🐾 Zack (he/him), my partner, lives with me and is available to help out. He is the best dad to Rigel and will do anything for him. Even though he grew up with mostly cats, he is comfortable with all animals. He is always adding ideas to our dream ranch, where we care for rescued animals. He is also Deaf, so noisy pets need not worry! He runs a start-up from home, so he has quite a flexible schedule as well. He's happy to ensure your pets are comfortable and safe. 🐾🎾🐾 ABOUT SERVICES 🐾🎾🐾 Kennels and cold boarding places can add stress to your pet when you are away. So why not leave your companions in a safe and cozy place with a familiar routine, smells from home, and great company? Discount available for multiple pets. Administering medicine, walks, brushing, massages, and regular updates included. For house sitting or drop-ins, collecting mail, security checks, watering the plants, and taking the trash out/bins in are included. It’s a good deterrent for thieves to have someone at the house often- travel with confidence knowing that your home and furbabies are safe! Pet taxis are also available, I can bring your pet(s) to you, the vet, or grandma's! Puppy rates apply to puppies under 1 year of age due to the extra energy and resources expended for proper care. I'm allergic to cats so I can't cuddle with them (as much as I want to) but have no problem checking on them and making sure they are happy. Zack loves cats and can take care of them without any concerns. Special cat rates are available. I love the idea of taking care of rodents, snakes, spiders, birds, and the likes. 🐾🎾🐾 WORK/LIFE BALANCE 🐾🎾🐾 Just a friendly heads up that I have Do Not Disturb (DND) activated from 8p to 8a CT. If a message is sent during that time, I may not respond until after the DND turns off.

🐾🎾🐾 ABOUT SAFETY 🐾🎾🐾 My home and car are free of toxins like bleach, parabens, sulfates, and the likes. I accomplish this by being plastic-free as much as possible and using green products for cleaning. Speaking of cleaning, all shared pet toys and supplies are cleaned in between bookings to keep your pet(s) clean and healthy. I set up pets for success by keeping things clean and put up. The trashcan has a lid and is heavy. The floor is wood and can be easily cleaned up quickly if a pet has an accident (hey, it happens). Due to multiple accidents in bed, even from best-behaved pets, we now require pets to be kenneled overnight. We cover kennels to create a den-like environment and keep the temperature cool to keep pets comfortable. My car is equipped with pet seat belts as well as a bucket car seat for those who get carsick. I take pride in driving like a grandma; it is the reason why I have never been in an accident before! If you have a strict diet, routine, or obedience rules, I will follow them. If you’re a go-with-the-flow person, I can flow with that too!

A typical day
I believe in physical and mental exercises. I have plenty of space in the fenced and partially shaded backyard and a park where I can take pets for a long walk. Plenty of toys and games (frequently sanitized) are also available to keep their brains busy. Anxiety is often a sign of a too-focused brain; so I try to host healthy distractions through these activities and reward pets for being brave. They just need to feel safe when their pack leader is out.
