I typically work in-person only 1/2 days a week (typically Tuesdays and Thursdays) and work from home the rest. I live close to a dog park that I bring my Rover dogs to often!

Safety, trust & environment
My home is a 3 story townhouse with vinyl flooring that makes cleaning any accidents quite easy. Dogs are allowed to stay in my bedroom overnight and during the day they are free to roam the house :). My own dog is not crate trained so she will be around as well. She typically is by my side or waits at the door for me. My neighborhood is quite quiet, calm, and very close to a park.

Information Katie L. would like to know about your pet
Sophie is an older lady so she is quite low energy. It may be good to know how high energy your pet is and if they require their dog friends to match their energy. Also, let me know if your dog has any special needs! I am used to taking care of special needs dogs with oral medication needs
A typical day
Love to start the day with a pee break, breakfast, and a morning walk. My own dog typically gets up by 7:30am so we are up bright and early! There will also be pee breaks throughout the day. We end the day with dinner, an afternoon walk in the nearby park, and a couple more pee breaks. My own dog needs to be let out again until 9/10pm so there will be a late night pee break! Occasionally if time permits, we can go to the dog park!

Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Katie and I currently live with Sophie, my yellow lab. Sophie and I met when I found her as a stray in my friend’s backyard. She was super skinny and sick and I nursed her back to health. Through her, and the dog I had growing up, I have extensive experience with rescue dogs that will help me be the best pet sitter for you! I also am a foster for the Seattle Humane Society. I’m used to dogs needing extra care and patience :).
Reviews

Katie was wonderful and super flexible with lots of last minute changes on my end. My dog isn’t very interested in other dogs, and she got along great with Katie’s dog. I felt very comfortable with Katie watching my dog and will be reaching out to her in the future.

Katie was great! She sent me a lot of photos and made sure Griz was comfortable the whole time I was out of the country, I did not have to worry about a thing! This was my first experience using rover and I will be booking with Katie if I ever need to in the future.

took great care of our puppy this weekend!

Thank you, Katie, wonderful job as always. Really appreciate you, thank you for taking such a good care of Sebastian!!. He had a great time. Thanks for everything.
