I have experience taking care of many different dogs and pets, including birds, fish, and guinea pigs. I had my own dog for thirteen years and then helped my dad with his puppy. For one family I nannied for I would take care of the blind and partially deaf dog that they owned. I would take him for walks, out side play time, quick drop-ins, and take him for car rides to do hiking trails. I would also bathe, feed, and give medication if needed. I would also stay with the dog while the family would go away for vacations. I have taken mine and friend’s dogs to the local dog parks. I do work Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, so I can let dogs out before and after work.

When animal sitting at clients homes I will spend as much time outside with the pets for fresh air and exercise. I give them their meals on schedule along with any medications they may need.

This was my first experience having a sitter stay at my house vs. boarding him in their home. Having met Katie beforehand for a meet and greet and seeing her with Ollie, I felt totally secure entrusting him in her care. She seemed very comfortable, competent and Ollie was very at ease around her. The only issue, that turned out differently than I had realized is she had another committed job during the days so she was not able to spend most of that time with him. She did leave her other job briefly, to come back and walk him but I had imagined him getting more outings, attention, exercise and company for more hours during the day than he did! One of the issues, which I had brought up at our meet and greet was that Ollie was not a dog that might get along with other dogs or small children, so she would need to work around that. We discussed that she might take him on hikes, etc. but as it turned out, her other job included kids so she was unable to include him! Once back at the house for the evenings, I feel sure that Katie was responsive and caring with Ollie and she did send pictures of him during our time away. I certainly would not hesitate to recommend Katie as a caretaker for your pet. I just wish I had had a better idea of how much time would be spent with Ollie, as it was much less than he normally receives. Other situations might be different with her ability to include your pet with her other job, if they are well suited to kids, etc. So, I would definitely hire her, without reservation, if that might be the case!
Katie is super sweet and energetic- just like our Mae ;). She took her on tons of walks and hikes and sent photos daily. She lives in a small apartment and works part time, but it seemed to all work out fine. Thanks Katie!!
Katie is an amazing choice to become your dog's new best friend. She is responsible, caring, and attentive to others' needs. She is also energetic, ready to run and play, and will win over your dog in a heartbeat!
Katie is one of the best people I know! She loves animals, staying active and being outside. She's full of energy, is reliable and very dedicated to all that she does. I have a variety of pets with all different husbandry needs and I would trust Katie without question to take care of each of them.

Schedule
I do work full time Monday to Friday 8-6 so I can care for animals before and after work on the week days and I am fully available on weekends.
