I only accept boarding when I am not currently fostering a cat from the shelter to reduce the risk of a stressed/territorial cat. So your cat(s) would be the only pet(s) in my apartment when boarding :) I live in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment with ample toys, treats, and cat trees. I also outfitted the apartment with multiple cat shelves and perches so your cat will have various places to climb :) I also have a balcony that is cat-proofed with netting but I only let cats out if I have permission to do so. I supervise all outdoor time. When the balcony is not in use, I keep the door to the balcony locked and closed. I do not let any cats on the balcony if I do not have direct confirmation that you're okay with that. The balcony is for enrichment purposes only.

Experienced , Reliable Cat Lover
Cat care experience
I've been taking care of (and living with) cats since 2018. I've loved cats ever since and I currently volunteer with Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) as a foster parent and have been fostering cats until they get adopted! My most recent foster cat (5yr old female) got adopted in January :) I also have experience cat sitting for various friends and family. With all the cats that I've taken care of, I have experience with cats ranging from kittens that are just a few months old to senior cats that are 10+ yrs old. Many of the cats that I've taken care of had various medical needs ranging from mild conditions to severe/terminal. The specific medical needs that I have experience with are: polycystic kidney disease, UTI's, squamous cell carcinoma (cancer), giarda, anxiety, and eye conditions. I have experience administering medications for these various medical conditions. I can handle cats with various temperaments; a lot of the cats that I've fostered were initially shy (usually the cats that I foster are labeled as extremely fearful cats who need to be removed from the shelter ASAP due to stress from being in a shelter environment) so I have experience taking care of shy or reactive cats. I also have fostered young, high energy cats so I experience addressing various enrichment needs as well :)
Reviews

Katie was wonderful and very communicative with everything that came up. She handled my two cats very well even with all their quirks and the two guys looked great when I got home, as did my house. Their food area was clean as were their dishes and litter box. Thank you very much Katie!

Katie was a super great cat sitter! She is very open with communicating, asks thorough questions, takes directions well, helps with minor miscellaneous household problems that pop up, and takes really cute photos of your cat. I left my cat for vacation for 2 weeks and was so anxious it would go badly, but with Katie my cat stayed a happy boy the entire time.
With katie, your pet is in good hands :) she is super responsible and loves animals more than anything. Whether your pet is a social butterfly or a spirit cat who needs a caregiver from a far, Katie is your gal.
Katie watched my cats for two and a half weeks while I was traveling internationally, and I’d absolutely book her again. She sent consistent updates with photos, followed the instructions I left, and made it much easier to relax while I was away. I came home to happy, well-cared-for cats and everything in great shape. Katie is reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the animals she looks after. Would highly recommend.
