Hi, I’m Kate! Dogs have been a part of my life for over 40 years. I grew up with Labrador Retrievers, adopted my first Lab in college, later had two Yorkies, and now share my home with my sweet Miniature Australian Cobberdog. She has a calm, low-to-medium energy level and loves making new friends! I’ve been a trusted dog walker and pet sitter through Rover and Wag for more than 9 years, caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re in my care. I live in a comfortable apartment in a house in Jamaica Plain, MA, and pets are welcome on the furniture—they’re family here! We’re also close to several great parks and walking areas, so your pup will get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and outdoor time. I’m also experienced with cats, having cared for two cats for nearly 17 years while growing up. My schedule: * Friday–Sunday: I’m home full-time. * Monday–Thursday: I’m away for about 3 hours total each day, and I typically have a pet sitter stay with my own dog during that time. I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pet, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I promise to treat your dog or cat as if they were my own—with lots of attention, affection, playtime, and cuddles. Katie was so easy to communicate with and to make arrangements on very short notice to walk our dog. Our “regular” dog walker was unavailable and we needed to make plans at the last minute. Katie arrived promptly and texted me upon her arrival and when she left our dog off at home. She sent pictures during the walk and reassured us that our dog was happy and well taken care of. We will definitely use Katie again in the future!

I can't say enough great things about Katie! From the moment we met, it was clear how much she truly cares for animals. As a very protective and nervous dog mom, I really appreciated her thoughtful communication. Katie was incredibly responsive in the app, sending regular updates and adorable pictures throughout the day, which really helped ease my mind. She went above and beyond to take care of Pete, even in the snow! After walks, she made sure to wipe his paws and remove any salt, showing how considerate she is of his well-being. The pictures of Pete snuggling up to her were such a sweet touch and spoke volumes about the bond they formed in one day. Katie was not only kind and professional but also genuinely sweet with my pup. Highly recommend!

Schedule
I own a dog so it’s not hard for me to add another pup in. I have a lot of experience with it. I work part time, so I am home a lot and never leave my own dog for more than 4 hours at a time.

I live close to Jamaica Pond which is a great place to walk dogs. I live in a house and pets are allowed anywhere they’d like.

A typical day
I live near Jamaica Pond, Olmsted and Lars which is a great places for me to take your dog(s) to run around. I'd take them on long walks, but will always be more than happy to play inside if the weather isn't walkable for very long!

- I accept all breeds under 50lbs. If your dog is bigger, but good on leash, I can make an exception. I prefer to take hypoallergenic dogs in my home, as sadly I’m allergic, but can sometimes make an exception.
